Happy Thursday already

Hello all- Happy Summer!!!  Today is suppose to feel like summer around here- high near 90 and sunny-yeah!!!   We had a fun & busy Memorial Day weekend, but the weather could have been nicer.   It's been a crazy couple of weeks...last week, my husband went to Vegas with his buddies, so that left me w/my boys!!  Let me tell you, two dogs are much easier when there are 2 people-lol.  Elvis is growing everyday, he is just toooo darn cute & fluffy : )  Him & Wilson are still working it out, but it's getting better : )  I promise new pics soon.

I've been working on cards, but not as many as normal, just haven't had the time- I blame my husband for going away last week-lol.  My new card for you today, was made a month or so ago.  I have a hard time getting pics of my new cards lately too. 

This card was a "special order" recipient likes to garden.  Background pp is from Joann's.  Not sure of the brand on the red pp, but it's from a 6x6 Xmas pad. used the Cuttlebug & embossing folder.  also used the cricut & Fiskars border punch.  I can't remember the name of the rub-ons,  but if you need to know leave me a msg & I'll look it up- I can see the package at home : )

TGIF!!!

Yeah, made it through another week!!!   Sorry got lost again....I actually had to do the fun state report for work this week - it was due this week & I hadn't started it : )  I know I sound like an ultimate procrastinator & sometimes I can be, but w/this stupid report- it's my bosses fault!!!  Ok, enough of that fun- the report is done, submitted  & behind me for another couple months : )  

I'm totally looking forward to my weekend!!!   Mom & Oscar are coming to visit!!  Mom & I are off the CK Scrapping Convention tomorrow- yeah, can't wait to buy allllll sorts of new goodies : )   I can guarantee mom & I will do some other shopping too : )   Mom hasn't seen Elvis is awhile now, so I'm looking forward to her seeing how much our little guy has grown- he's 42+lbs now : )

Better get to my new card & get to working.  The dragonfly stickers are atd Momenta.  Cheveron pp is October Afternnon.  The turq pp & orange pp are K & company.  Used my fav Fiskars border punch, inked all the edges.  The stamp is Hero Arts.

Quick Wed. post

Hello everyone- Happy Wednesday- half way to the weekend : )  Just a quick post today, as I have the blasted report due in less then a week & this morning I need to work on it-yuk!!!   I wish the sun would come back out, that would help make this day better : )  It is still fairly warm though-62degrees at 830am is pretty good.

Made this card a couple plus weeks ago.  See even though I wasn't posting,  I was still making cards : )  Striped pp is Hobby Lobby, graph pp is Recollection, as is the cute purple elephant & banner.  Stamp is Hero Arts.

Tuesday is better then Monday-lol

What can I say, Monday's are not my favorite days...at least we made it through another one, onto Tuesday  : )  It's another bright, warm sunny morning- totally in love w/the weather we've been having.  This past weekend was picture perfect!!  It's so nice to have the yard dried up & not have muddy we pups : )   We all had a good weekend- like I said we enjoyed the beautiful weather & I of course, made some cards.

My new card is a "special order"...obviously turning 50, but they looove martinis.  I thought I had a couple more martini embellies then I did, but I think this works....thank goodness I went shopping on Saturday & found these awesome olive embellies : )   I believe the green pps are American Crafts.  Used the Cricut for the oval & "50", Fiskars favorite scalloped border punch.  The olives are Sandy Lion, not sure of the martini glass or the mini alphabets.....sorry Dr. Pepper hasn't kicked in yet this morning.

Sunny Thursday

Another gorgeous spring day here- high near 80- if you could only see the big smile I have on my face : )  Wish I wasn't stuck at work though-lol.  I actually get out early today, I have to go have some stitches removed, yuk!  What I forgot to mention yesterday about my disappearing act, is I also had oral surgery-yuk!!!  It really wasn't that bad & I soooo hope this takes care of the problem- I've been trying for over a year now.   Yeah, one more day till the weekend & we are suppose to have great weather too!!  My husband is itching to get his boat in the water-lol.

Speaking of  boats...... I made this card a month or so ago as a "special request".  I've been told the mommy has framed this & put it in the baby's room : )  I can't remember any of the brands for this card- sorry, like I said made it a while ago.

Hello world!!!

Hello All!!!!   Wow- I'm sorry I've been missing from my blog for almost a month now-yikes (as my father would say-lol)!!!   Life just got beyond crazy!!!!!!     I know before I went missing I introduced you all to our wonderful to new furry family member-Elvis!!!  Our little guy is now 3 1/2 months old & growing like a weed! He's actually doubled in weight since we got him- now 36lbs : )   Elvis actually had some health issues about a month ago & I'd say that's when I went completely missing- off the chart, so to speak : )    Without going into alllllll the details....Our little guys is on medication now, that seems to be helping the problem & we hope it stays that way!!!  Needless to say, this completely rocked our world & had me so disheartened I wasn't making too many cards- I really didn't care about much, just both my babies being happy & healthy!!!!  Wilson is still adjusting to his little brother, sometimes he loves to have a playmate : ) You should see them chase each other in the backyard!!   My 2 boys don't lay together quietly too often & I can't believe I was able to get the camera when the did...................

 

 

I spent most of last weekend, making cards- it was wonderful!!!  I find card making so relaxing!!!   Yeah, a new card to show you : )  The banner & butterfly  are October Afternoon.  The pink polka dot pp is Crate Paper.The other pps are My Mind's Eue.  The zig zag punch is Ek Success & the bottoms are from my stash.  Oh yeah, inked all the edges : )

A quick note to Pat from Washington.....thank you for your comment- it just made my day & again I'm sorry I've been missing from here & sb.com : )  I actually tried to load some cards on there today & am having a hard time w/the new setup of the site, but I'll keep trying & get it sooner or later!!  Thanks again for taking them time to check up on me : )

A dog's life : )

It is going to be a beautiful spring day here....high near 50+ & there's a big bright sun out too!!  Doesn't that sound like the perfect day, now if only I didn't have to work : )

Had to share a new pic of Elvis today....how can that now make you smile??  My little fluff ball is 10 1/2 weeks old....I'm guess about 25lbs...it's starting to get hard to pick him up : (    Him & Wilson are still working things out, but they do seem to enjoy playing w/each other a little more.  Wilson keeps trying to share his bone w/Elvis & of course, all Elvis wants to do is chew on Wilson : )

Of course, my new card had to be "dog" related-lol.  I cut the dog scene out of a piece of Bella Blvd pp. The red pp is Crate Paper.  All the other papers are My Mind's Eye.  Used the Fiskar border punch & the Cricut for mini tag.  Added some twine & the bone button, oh yeah & inked allllll the edges.

Happy sunny day!!

It's a bright sunny day here...still a bit chilly, but I think Spring is right around the corner : )   Hope everyone had a great Easter.  Ours was very relaxing.  We actually had a very relaxing weekend, even w/our 2 crazy dogs : )  Need to get to my new card & get to working....we have a yearly report due in 17 days-yuk!!!      

This card is a special order....they wanted a knitting b-day card....I originally thought that would be easy to do.  If you follow me, you know I love to use stickers, rub-ons, any type of embellies for my cards...I thought it wouldn't be that hard to find some "knitting" embellies- well, it was.  My mom had just bought these knitting stamps at Big Lots...kind of funny, cause I kind of wondered why she was buying them, but low & behold..........I'm soooo glad she did!!!  The knitting basket is all paper pieced together & pop dotted on.  Then added a little yarn w/regular pins (knitting needles).  I think most of the pps on this card is My Mind's Eye.  Used the Cuttlebug & nesties, the Marvy corner round.  Inked all the edges, added sentiment, pearls & ribbon.

Introducing....ELVIS

hello peeps....sorry got lost again, that seems to be happening a lot lately.  Ever just have those days (weeks) where you are not sure what direction you are going in??  That's me lately : )    We are still fighting w/our computer, but I did finally sit down last night & work with it for a bit.  I felt sooooo bad that I hadn't shared any pics of our new addition w/anybody.  Plus, i felt bad that I had been neglecting my blog....I'm still making cards in between taking Elvis outside every 10minutes (not kidding),  refereeing Wilson & Elvis & just everyday house work...you know, just life.   I sound like I'm complaining,  I'm really not....though life has been crazy lately, it really has been enjoyable.

Well better get to  ELVIS....................

look at my little bundle of fur....pic taken this past weekend, he is a 9wk old Bernese Mountain Dog...as of last week (first vet visit) he weighed 18.2 lbs....I'd say over 20lbs now, I notice it when picking him up.  He doesn't mind going up the stairs, but has not ventured down yet.....I think part of that is because Wilson protects the stairs-lol.   Speaking of Wilson, he is doing okay w/his new brother.  Wilson tends to play kind of rough, so I'm always worried about Elvis getting hurt, but Elvis doesn't seem to mind, he dishes out probably more then he gets : )

Happy Monday!!

Hello all......no I didn't fall off the face of the earth, just got lost for a bit : )  Actually, as I mentioned last month, had computer issues, that we temporarily fixed...notice I said temporarily.  We did get a new computer,but of course you need to set it up & transfer things over, all that fun, which I'm totally not into, so it stays at the bottom of my list.  My brother in law & wife stopped over on Saturday to set it up for us : )  Now I have to figure out the new computer w/Windows 8-yuk!!  

I've been working hard on cards this whole time though...it's a great stress reliever for me, plus I totally love to be surrounded by cute stickers & pretty papers : )  I've got some steady customer's that keep my busy w/their "special orders".  I've got 4 due to a lady this week & only half our done, hopefully tonight.

Though I mentioned new cards, I don't have any pics loaded of them yet, so I thought I 'd share this cutie w/you...look at my handsome Wilson w/his looong legs, he's watching tv here-lol.   I do have some BIG news though......we got a new puppy this past weekend, I thought it high time Wilson had a brother.............he doesn't exactly agree w/my thinking yet-lol.  We got an 8wk old Bernese Mountain Dog puppy, his name is Elvis!!  (I promise pics w/in the next couple days)   Elvis is a chewer, he loves the carpets & he Wilson's ears. Wilson loves to bark at Elvis & then tries to rough house w/him....Elvis is too little right now for rough housing, but I know he'll give Wilson a run for his money someday.  It's funny to think, that Wilson doesn't realize this little guy is going to be bigger then him -lol.

Wish I home sweet home today : )

It is a gray, chilly day...it's not sure if it wants to rain or snow............ this would have been the perfect day to sleep in & then make cards, a girl can dream : )    At least we are half way to the weekend & Survivor is on tonight, so I have tv to look forward too.  My husband is usually in control of the remote, I don't really mind as I'm usually making cards.  I've watched Survivor from day one, so he knows what we are watching tonight : )

I had a couple orders recently for "new home" cards.  My house is another Darcie Ucut, added the "K" heart from my stash, I think it's an ooold Target purchase.  The turq. pp is Simple Stories.  The green grass is My Mind's Eye.  Grass punch is Martha Stewart.  Not sure of the script pp, but can look it up, if you need to know : )

Happy Day : )

I'm trying to make this a goo day, at least that was my intention until I walked into work- yuk!  Well needless to say, this will be a quick post....boss already called & he's on his way too...double yuk!!  Mom & I had a great time this weekend!  Our show was very entertaining, we ate sooo much food & did some damage shopping, yup we hit all the craft stores -lol.

I've had a lot of special order cards over the last couple weeks, so my stash of b-day cards is low, so this ended up being b-day once I did the inside sentiment.   the image is a Darcie Ucut.  The plaid pp is an old piece from the Target $ section.  Hard to see in this pic, but I did add glitter to the flowers & then some bling.

Half way to the weekend : )

Yup, as usual I'm counting down till the weekend : )  Mom is visiting this weekend, we are off to Priscilla Queen of the Desert this weekend at our local theater, and of course, shopping & eating....they say do what you are good at-lol.   It is cooold out this morning...can't wait for spring, really can't wait for summer : )

Work is busy & crazy, so need to get to my new card & get back to work. 

I made this card quite a while ago...can't think of the brands on much of any it, need more Dr. Pepper this morning : )  The blue plaid pp is Hobby Lobby.  The ribbon is from Target, the blue scalloped circle is Making Memories...a gift from my wonderful friend Starla (thanks, girlfriend).   Used my Marvy corner round punch & inked all the edges.  I also cut up a pearl flourish to fit.

Happy V-Day!!

Hello all- I'm not lost : )  We've been having computer problems w/our home computer & work has been nasty, so not much time to play.  We tried to get our computer fixed last night, it has a small band-aid on it right now, but won't last much longer, hopefully we'll have a new one by the weekend : )  I uploaded a couple cards quickly last night, just so I could post on my blog & say hello & happy Valentine's Day  : )   

I bet you thought I'd have a V-day card to show you....I thought I would too, but I was afraid to try to load them off the camera onto my computer, so I'll show you this instead : )  I made this a couple weeks ago.   I think the yellow pp is Jenni Bowlin, old piece of gingham.  All embellies are K & Company.  Used the fiskars big scallop punch.  Ribbon is American Crafts.  Used the Cricut for my mini tag.  I inked all the edges, of course & added button &  bling from my stash : )

quick quick post

Hello all, Happy Tuesday!!!  Super quick post today, so you didn't think I forgot about sharing w/all of you : )

I used a bunch of new Xmas goodies on this card.  The Stickers are Echo Park, love the whole sheet of them, such a mix.  Navy polka dot pp is also Echo Park. Used the Cuttlebug & Nesties, also EK Success border punch.  Went digging through my stash of buttons for this one.  Oh yeah, used the Cricut for the mini tag.  Inked it all & added some bling.

Is it spring?!!

It is 66 degrees out this morning, it's January & I live in Buffalo.....crazy : )  Now it is really gray out & suppose to rain most of the afternoon, it's windy now, but there is a "wind advisory" for later tonight, gust up to 60 miles an hour & then by tomorrow snow, maybe a couple inches by tomorrow.....did I say crazy yet???   I so love this warm weather though, no need for the fleece lined tights-lol.  Well I'm pleased to say my face is no longer twice the size is should be,the swelling has gone down : )  I now have to call the Endodontist that did my surgery a year ago & have him take another look.  Believe me, I ranted & raved to my mom yesterday, huh, mom?!!  Thanks, for the ear-lol!!   At least I feel & look better today, makes for a much happier Lynn : )

I did mention spring before, not only the weather reminds me of spring, so does my new card.  All very very old pp.  Used the fiskars border punch, Ek Success rick rack punch & the Marvy corner round.  The chipboard bird is an old My Mind's Eye.  Added the button, flower & bling, and of course, inked all my edges, including the bird.

Gray Tuesday

At least I made it through Monday, now let's get through today ; )  I'm having dental issues again, started late Sunday, thought it would be taken care of by now, but...NO!!!   Sorry, just so frustrated & need to vent...I've been working on this tooth for over a year now, well actually had the root canal done over 15yrs ago & I guess they didn't get everything at the top of the root, about a year ago I had to go to an endodontist for another procedures, that I thought should have solved all- it didn't .....I have a swollen face again today.  Yesterday got a prescription for anti-biotics, unfortunately some of them don't work for me & I 'd say this one isn't working either!!   Sounding fun yet??  I will say at least I don't have a tooth ache, just a swollen face & sore gum area. Think good thoughts for me today, I need them ; )

I was still able to work on cards last night, it was a slow creative process though.  I actually made this card last week, again w/the baby card though : )   My 2 background pps are old, have no clue of the brand- sorry : )  The text pp is Teresa Collins- what beautiful paper & great quality.  Stroller is from Michael's- can't remember the brand though.... my tooth infection , must have affected my brain this morning : )  Used the Cuttlebug & Nesties for the scalloped square.  Found an old mini punch for the stars, used my fav Fiskars border punch & I think the  stamp is Fiskars.

Snowy/Rainy Monday

Happy Monday!!  It was snowing when I got up today, I'd say almost an inch of new snow on the ground, by the time I left for work it was raining.  It's suppose to get near 45+ today, so all the snow ought to turn into one giant muddy mess.  I really hate the cold, but if it's going to be winter, I wish it would stay below 32degrees w/a nice layer of snow on the ground....sorry, but my little Wilson turns into one giant mud mess!!!!!  We had a nice weekend!!  I met up w/an old high school friend on Friday.  It was so nice to hang out w/her, it had been years since we last did that : )    I did a lot of card making on Saturday and Sunday-yeah : )

I've had a thing for baby cards lately & have no clue why...I don't know that many people having babies : )  Chipboard stickers by Me & My Big Ideas, polka dot pp is Recollection, dainty flower pp is Girl's Paperie.  I think the stripe pp is Crate Paper, some very old lace from my stash, inked all the edges & done.
