Christmas in July : )

Oh yeah, another work week almost over!! Yesterday I had my test, so I just didn't have time to make or post a card on my blog. Don't you just hate when life gets in the way?? LOL I'm happy to say I PASSED!! Did I have doubts, absolutely!! I never did that good on test in school, plus all the legal names-yikes!!! Anyways, that part is behind me : ) My family is visiting this weekend. It will be the first time all 3 dogs are together, ought to be fun-LOL. Palmer & Oscar (the 2 schnauzers) have never met. I'm sure you will be seeing a picture or two in the near future.

I figured I only had 2 more days left in July, so if I was going to do a Christmas card, now was the time. It was so fun to get out my Xmas scrapping goodies. It's like having all new stuff :) I'm sure there was alot of new stuff in there anyways....always buying clearance stuff through the year & I LOVE XMAS goodies!!!!

Half way to the Weekend : )

It's going to be another busy day. My test is tomorrow , so I'm trying to get to work & get my work done, so I can STUDY STUDY STUDY. I spent quite a bit of time last night doing that too-yuk!!! My little Wilson made it through day 7!!!! I've got a new picture of him to show you. I can't believe how big he's getting, he already weighs @32lbs. When we got him, he was 13.4lbs.

Look at that face : ) Wilson is improving daily on lots of things. In the beginning we gave him a little more freedom when we are outside, we don't want to have to leash him in our own yard. As you can see be the pic. he's leashed. Wilson is a very "nosey" puppy, loves to check everything out, oh yeah & eat everything outside too. He's run after birds & bunnies a couple times & then just completely DOES NOT listen. I've had to go chasing him the bushes a couple times- what a sight I'm sure-LOL! He's not happy about the leash, as you can tell by this picture-LOL!



I'm just working away on whatever card pops into my head lately. I'm thinking of starting Christmas cards soon. Can you believe I even said that?! I hope you enjoy me new card, it's a lot of Basic Grey, Kioshi.

Quick hello

I've got a busy day ahead of me, so only have time for a super quick blog today. I wanted to make sure to share, that Wilson is starting DAY 7 w/no house accidents!!!!! Oh, he's such a good boy!!!!! It seems like it just started to "click" w/him, but boy did it seem to take forever, though it has only been 8+ weeks : ) Okay, gotta load my card, & get to work. I have to take a National Test this week for my job-yuk!! I couldn't tell you the last time I took tests- yuk again. Oh, speaking of tests...my little brother (not so little anymore) is taking the first part of the BAR test today- he's such a smart guy, I know he will do GREAT, but everybody think good thoughts for him!!!!

I hope everyone had a good weekend!! We did! I can't say that we over did it, that's for sure, but it was still an enjoyable weekend! With a little bit of down time, I even got some cards made. I have some other projects I need to tackle. I did a little "creative thinking" w/them, that was about it-lol! Both days this weekend had a lot of rainy time, so I didn't feel bad staying inside card making. Actually on Sunday, we went to my mom's. She lives @1 1/2 hrs away. Wilson & Oscar got to have another "play date". They really do get along good! They are both young w/lots of energy. Oscar may be getting a slight bit better about sharing his toys-lol. This coming weekend, we are getting together w/my brother & wife. They have a schnauzer also, Palmer. He's a cute litte guy. I can't wait to see the drama w/the 3 dogs together-yikes!!!!



Since I had all this card making time, I should be posting more then one card today, but I'm also running late for work today-typical! Hope you enjoy my new card, I was trying to work on "maculine" cards this weekend, but didn't get many done. I have such fun w/the girly, cutesy ones, I can't help myself-lol. For the cat lovers

I've been waiting all week to say this- TGIF!!!!!! Isn't is hard to go to work when it's summer & nice outside? Though, this morning it has been raining cats & dogs : ) Even Wilson didn't want to go outside this morning. Though he did, as we don't want any indoor accidents. The potty training has been a little difficult w/Wilson. There are times when he will just go where ever he chooses & that unfortunately sometimes ends up being my carpet-yuk!! We've made it 2 days w/NO accidents, today's #3, keep your fingers crossed : ) I'm so glad the weekend is here, though we don't have a lot going on this weekend. Nice to have a free weekend, that's rare in the summer. I'm hoping I can get a bunch of cards done. I've got a couple I NEED to do. We are going to visit my mom & Oscar on Sunday though. I'm sure I'll get some more tug of war pictures -LOL.

I know I seem to talk & talk about dogs, but I do like cats too. We don't have any though, my husband is not the biggest of fans. I am working on that and I do plan on someday having a cat too. Growing up we always had a cat : ) So, my card today is for all the cat lovers out there- enjoy!!

Still on my summer kick & why not- it's SUMMER!!

What a gorgeous morning here, much better way to start the day then yesterday. It's suppose to be a beautiful summer day here today, would have been a good day to play hookie, oh I wish. The sad part is, if I were home today, I would probably spend most the day inside playing w/all my new scrapping supplies. I don't tend to plan my cards, unless there's one I HAVE to make. I usually go through my supplies until something or a couple things jump out at me, and that is usually my starting point. I've had lots of ideas flying around, what with all my new goodies : ) I just don't have enough time in the day. I'm sure everyone knows what I mean, I think they call it "life"!!

I wanted to share a picture of the new family pooches w/you today. This was taken last weekend when Mom & Oscar came to visit. I've mentioned that Oscar doesn't really like to share his toys, well come to find out, he doesn't really like to share anyone's toys-LOL. He's a very sweet dog, so he doesn't get nasty or anything like that. He just tries to pull it away from Wilson, & of course at that point Wilson is NOT letting go. This was soooo funny to watch & it happened anytime Wilson went near a toy-LOL. (ask & you shall receive, Vija)

As my blog title today says, SUMMER. Every card I make lately, just makes me think summer, I wish it would never end ( I know what comes soon after it's over-yuk). Where is Friday?

I know, dont' wish my life away : ) Really I'm not, but work is crazy lately & all I want to do is play w/my new scrapping stuff & make cards-lol! Need to win the lottery, guess I would need to play first-lol! Okay, I'm over it : ) Maybe it's the weather this morning, it is very dark & dreary here.

Summer Days : )

I'm loving this great summer weather we've been having. It's so nice to wake up & see the sunshine. Remember, I'm from outside Buffalo, NY & our winters are long & as I've gotten older the winters seem even longer-lol. This has just been a gorgeous summer. We are having a streak of days in the 80's-perfect : )

Yesterday was like my birthday all over again! I must admit to being spoiled-lol. I love the "wishlist" on scrapbook.com, I'm always adding to it. My husband loves it too. Makes shopping very easy for him, though he will venture to Hobby Lobby & AC Moore once in awhile : ) I got a big box delivered yesterday w/all sorts of fun scrapping supplies. I was in HEAVEN!!! Somedays I like to sort through my stuff as much as use it. I can't imagine ever using it all, but I'll try. To think about the amount of scrapping supplies I own is almost over whelming, almost. I LOVE IT ALL!!!!! I'm sure it is just part of my obsession!! My mom scrapbooks also, so her & I love to shop for supplies together. We girls can get in some trouble-lol!!! She does layouts mostly, BUT she made me the coolest card for my b-day. It was awesome & it was only her first try!!!

Onto my new card for the day......is this not the cutest card?? The colors make me think summer & that little hippo makes me smile!

Great Weekend!!

Oh, can you believe it's Monday already, what happened to the weekend?? I had a great weekend!! Yesterday was my birthday & I had such a fun day. My mother & mother-in-law came over & of course my mom brought Oscar : ) He really is a cute little guy. We are definitely a "dog family"! Wilson & Oscar played all day. The like to play tug of war with all the toys-lol. I got some great presents, most of them scrapping supplies-YEAH!!! Ooh, also got a great New York Yankees baseball hat, that actually fits my head- I've got such a problem w/that, but my honey did good!!! On Saturday we went to the casino w/my best friend. She lives 2 hours away & just had her first baby, little Evan : ) We had a great time at the casino & I am happy to say I came home w/the exact amount of money I left with, to me that is winning-lol!!! Our weather was beyond great this weekend, I love warm weather! I almost felt bad about spending part of my Saturday inside, almost. I think my new card is perfect for the great summer weather we've been having.....

I have a hard time w/masculine cards, actually let me correct that.... I have a hard time w/cards for men!!! As I've said before, my style tends to be "cutesy", which doesn't go to well w/men-lol. I am a big fan of these Graphic 45 sheets & the matching die-cuts too.

I'm so excited the weekend is here, though I'm not sure I'm going to find much time to make cards : ) My best friend is coming to visit tomorrow and we are going to the casino..yeah...think BIG winners-lol!! Sunday is my birthday, so my mother & her new dog, Oscar are coming to visit- another yeah!! Our new dog, Wilson just met Oscar for the first time last weekend & they seemed to get along pretty good. I think Wilson likes to have a playmate-lol.

I love this new line by Basic Grey- Oliver & the Olivia is just as adorable & useable. I tend to use polka dots on most of my cards. Plaid is another staple for me : )

Wilson (13weeks)

This is our new puppy, Wilson....is he not the cutest thing sitting there looking all "angelic"-lol?!!! We haven't had a puppy in over 10years, boy, did we forget what that was like!!! Though, I have to say I'm pretty certain our last Golden (Damien) was never this "naughty". We've had Wilson 7 weeks now and I'm proud to say he already nows "sit" & "shake". It's the rest of the stuff we need work on-lol. Wilson keeps us on our toes. I hope you'll enjoy watching him grow along w/us..fun fun!!!

This is my new card, dedicated to my little Wilson!! I think as you get to know me, you'll see my style is completely cutesy", at least that's my opnion : ) I also love love love to use stickers & rub-ons. I do stamp & color when the spirit moves me too.

my first blog

yeah- I'm finally getting around to starting my blog : ) I've wanted to do this since the beginning of the year, but something always seem to come up. I'm sure everyone knows what I mean-lol! I'm so excited to share my work w/you. I've got such a passion (or obsession- depends on who you ask) for making cards, scrap booking & other papercraft items. If you ask my husband, he'll tell you "obsession w/paper & stickers"....I guess some of us never grow up. My husband is sooooo great about my hobby, very supportive. It's made gift giving very easy for him- SCRAPPING SUPPLIES : ) For xmas he got my a sewing machine & yes I did ask for one, so ladies dont' be mad at him. He's just awesome!!! I started scrap booking in early 2008. That year, I made xmas cards & WAS HOOKED!!! I do still do layouts, but not on the daily basis. I save that for making cards. I also love the decorate anything I can w/paper....frames, xmas ornaments, gift bags, it goes on & on. I hope as my blog progresses I will be able to show you my other work also. Well, Happy Wednesday, officially "hump" day- yeah!!!
