Windy Wednesday

Holy cow is it windy out this morning!! I knew this morning not to waste time on my hair-lol. I actually get my hair done tonight, which is a very good thing. I have been having the "worst hair days" lately, it just looks dull & it's so lifeless- just plain YUCKY!!! The way I'm feeling about it lately... I'd like to tell my hairdresser to "cut it off". Every get like that...just had enough of it!! I say all this BUT I would never do it, though I am thinking a couple inches-lol. My card making mojo has been a little slow lately, I'm getting some cards done but not as many as I would like. Especially since the craft show is next weekend-yeah!! My new card for the day, was a request from my brother & SIL they are going to a friend's wedding in November...anyways....
products used: red car die-cut: Darcie's u-cuts. ribbon: Target. gems: Michael's. red/blue pp: LilyBee designs-blueberry pie. yellow pp: LilyBee designs-posies. metal corners. Cuttlebug. Nestabilities.
Don't you love the car?? Mom & I found these great die-cuts at a Stamping Convention. They are called Darcie's u-cuts. They have all sorts of sheets...the only thing is "U-Cut" them out , so they can take a bit...some are more detailed then others. I can guarantee you'll see some more cards w/them in the future-lol : )
Hope everyone has a great day!! Don't get blown away today-lol!! Lynn

Another day, another dollar : )

My work has been so hectic lately! We hired a new girl, which is a good thing...but when they don't know the process things seem to take twice as long, for me-lol. My days have gone fast but I don't get any down time at work, my breaks are real quick, if I even get one : ( Okay, enough complaining- it's going to be a good day & I'm going to get some stuff accomplished..it always helps to have "happy" thoughts-lol. I've been very busy at home also w/cards. Mom came up this past weekend & we worked on boxes & xmas tags..really she did most of the work. I would say she's made almost 50+tags- go mom!!! I'll make sure to take a picture before the craft show so you can see all my mom's hard work. I've got a "Fall" card for you today. I just love the owl, too cute!!

It seemed like lately I was banging my head against a wall-lol. I've been trying to concentrate on holiday cards lately, but sometimes you just have to throw something else in there- so this is a complete 180-lol. I love this tricycle, it's just so fun looking & I love the green. This card does seem a bit summery to me.....ooh I wish. They are talking about snow showers tonight-yuk. I know it won' stick or anything like that, but just the fact that they are saying it-yuk again!! I hope my new card gives you the "warm fuzzies"!!

Happy Day : )

It's a bit gray out to start the day, but the weather report says sun by the afternoon- I hope so : ) My yesterday at work was just plain crazy!! I have to say the day flew by, but I'm not hoping for another one of those days- yuk!! I need a day off : ) Speaking of days off, we had a great weekend. My family was visiting....we ate so much food. I hate to admit between us all we ate 2 dozen donuts this weekend-lol. Our local Cider Mill also makes donuts, they are the yummiest little things, my favorite is the cream cheese frosting. Can't believe I"m going to say this, but I could go for one now-lol. We also went bowling. I couldn't even tell you the last time I went bowling (wii doesn't count). My first game, I at least broke 100-lol. The second game, not so good. You should see my husband throw the ball done the alley, yes I said throw!!! We all said, the pins should just fall down out of fear-lol. We all had fun : )
I did get a couple cards in this weekend, just couldn't help myself. The craft show is in less then 3 weeks. I'd like to do some Christmas ornaments too, but time will tell : ) I knew my one client would love this card & she did!!! Hope you "love" it too!!
products used: sentiment sticker & skull sticker: Recollection. orange paper: Target. border punch: Fiskars. black paper: Cloud9Design. black & white pp: My Mind's Eye-the spider web. gems: Michael's. Copic markers.
My little tip on this card is I colored the gems w/my copic markers. I wanted a darker orange gem then what I had & I remembered reading the tip of coloring your gems...IT WORKS!!! I'm going to use this new tip all the time, no need to worry when I don't have the right color gem-yeah!!!! Now, i've got to try it on pearls : )
Have a great Tuesday!! TFL!!! Lynn

TGIF- Go Yankees!!!

Oh yeah, the weekend is just hours away-lol!! I'm looking forward to my weekend w/family. There will be 3 extra people & 2 extra pups in our house- always crazy!! Our little Wilson gets a little crazy w/all the extra activity-lol. He's such a sassy little guy w/other dogs around, he barks at them, especially when he wants to play & they don't. Can't you imagine?? Mom & I have Mary Poppins tonight, which I've heard really good things about. I like the more upbeat shows, especially ones were I know some of the songs-lol.

Don't forget the Yankees play tonight!! In case there are any doubts as to whom we are rooting for.........................................

Is this not the cutest little guy you've even seen!!! This is Evan, my best friend's little sweetie & he really is a sweetie too. Always smiling & he loves his Aunt Lynn : ) I'm not sure if you can tell what his favorite team is?? or should I say what his mommy's favorite team is?? Poor Daddy is a Mets fan-lol!!!!!!

Ooh, the weekend is almost here-lol. My family is visiting this weekend-yeah!! On Friday, Mom & I are going to see Mary Poppins at the local theater. We have season tickets, so we go @6 times a year. Something different & fun for us to do. My brother & wife are also visiting this weekend, so I'm really looking forward to the weekend. I'm going to try to sneak making a card or two into the weekend also- can't resist : ) It's very gray here today, but much warmer then yesterday morning, thank goodness, I'm just not ready for the COLD yet-lol.

Okay, what the heck happened on Survivor??- my guy got kicked off!!!! I had thought he was doing so good & then they went a switched up the teams!! Darn it!!

When I started this card, I was thinking Fall, I got that from the yellow flowers. As the card was coming together, I think I kind of lost it's "Fall" feel, but I'm still really pleased w/it. I love the bright colors, the yellow & red really pops! Hope you enjoy!!!

Brrrrrrr

Holy cow is it cold out this morning- 35degrees...brrrrrr. This is our first morning w/frost & it was thick too. I don't have any mums this year, so I didn't have to worry about them. I do have 2 big pumpkins though : ) There is a bright beautiful sun out today, so I'm going to concentrate on that, they say 62 today, ohh I can't wait-lol. Tonight is Survivor so, I'm looking forward to that too. I'm going home tonight & make cards & watch tv, might even turn the heat on too-lol. We've only had it on twice so far this year, my husband is always warm & I'm always cold- guess who wins the battle w/the heat-not me : ( My client/friend Tara stopped by last night for cards. I met here last year by doing a craft show & she's wonderful. She always buys lots (& I mean lots) of cards & I love chatting w/her. Anyway, she bought me out of Halloween cards, I mean every last one I had made & order Thanksgiving cards-YEAH!!! I actually am starting to get back logged on my orders & need to work on xmas goodies for the upcoming craft show-YIKES (as my father would say)!!!! I'm not complaining at all, I'm excited that people appreciate my cards...it puts a BIG smile on my face : ) It was so chilly last night, it made me think Christmas, so of course, my new card for the day is Christmas!!!

One of the sheets has these beautiful roses on it in a reddish pink, great for xmas w/the matching papers, but I'm thinking how great it would look for a birthday or get well card. If you haven't seen this line- CHECK IT OUT!!! Hope everyone has a great Wednesday -half way to Friday : ) TFL! Lynn

WooHoo Wednesday : )

Ok, we are almost half way through the work week- WOOHOO!!!!! So far it's been a pretty good work week & the days have gone fast...now if only I could get some loans clear to close (that's my job). I've got to take a bunch a cards to a customer today & she has a friend who wants to check out my cards too- another WOOHOO!! I just love making cards, but what to do w/them all. As it is my scrapping supplies take over the house, so would my cards -lol. My husband is a patient man, but that would be pushing it if I had 100's of cards laying around-lol! I've got a couple steady customers & I have them at a "hair shop" also. I always wanted to try getting them into a cute little boutique- but who has the time. As it is, I can barely keep up. I'm not complaining though, I love to have reasons to make more cards-lol : )

I've got some new pics of Wilson to share today! He's a little over 6 months old now & growing like a weed. I would say he weighs @45 + lbs now, his back is above my knee, but he's still very lanky & thin-lol!! AWEEEEEEE- check out how darn cute My "sweet little" Wilson looks. He's
not suppose to be on the furniture, but this is the futon in the garage & of course, I couldn't help but take a picture, he looked so cute (& naughty)-lol!!! He is getting SO much better w/everything, though he still is a BALL OF ENERGY- he runs through the house like a "jack rabbit" bouncing off the wall-lol!!

On to my new card : ) I have another customer who loves to challenge me w/cards- thanks Kathy : ) This time she asked me for a Halloween Wedding card-love the idea!!! Well here is what I came up with & I have to say I'm quite pleased-lol!! It's hard to tell in the pic, but I even got out my Tattered Angel Mist for this- I always forget about that stuff & I really love it!! Another thing I LOVE are all these new papers by The Girl's Paperie- both sides are AWESOME!! & have you checked out their new Christmas line- LOVE that too!! I'm 100% sure I'll have some cards w/that line soon : )

It is definitely fall!!

What a gray, wet, chilly day- Fall is here. I went to my mom's this weekend, which is an hour & a half drive through the country & the leaves really weren't all the bright. It was still a pretty drive, but I like the bright reds & yellows & it doesn't seem like it's going to be that way this year. We haven't even had a frost yet this year here. Not that I'm complaining, I take warm weather all the time if I could-lol. I'm in a turtleneck today, couldn't help myself- it's just so damp out...brrrr! I had a great weekend w/my mom! We went to the Cohocton Fall Foliage Festival : ) We had some good eats & got to look at crafts & do a little garage sale-ing. I'm always looking for buttons, ribbon, lace, all sorts of crafty fun things-lol. I unfortunately didn't find anything like that, but I did pick up some books to read this winter for $.25-bargain-lol. I've been a busy bee making cards the last couple of days. Trying to get ready for my craft show, plus I have a couple orders for cards to fill-YEAH!!

Okay, I think this is the PERFECT card for today- it's so gray & wet out.....everytime I look at this card it makes me smile : ) It's gotta be that little turtle-lol. I have to admit the turtle is a wall sticker : )

products used: yellow polka dot pp: October Afternoon-Farm fresh. turq. pp: Sassafrass- Me likey. Sentiment sticker: S.R.M. stickers. turtle (wall sticker): Mattel. border punch: Martha Stewart. ribbon: Paper Studio. glitter: Studio G. gems
