Oh Happy Monday- it's a short work week for me: )

Oh yeah, a short work week & very exciting plans for the upcoming weekend!! My youngest cousin is getting married....makes me feel old-lol. I remember when she was born, there is 13+ years between us. I'm so excited & honored to be in her wedding!! Mom & I are leaving on Thursday for Pittsburgh & my husband & his mother are coming on Friday. I'm even getting my first massage this weekend-lol. I'm sure I will have all sorts of details to share w/you next week & pictures too!!!

I had a busy weekend & boy did it seem to fly by. I had a pedicure & my hair done friday after work. Then mom, Oscar & Palmer came to visit. Mom & I went to the stamp scrap expo on Saturday. I got lots of new goodies to use on cards. My favorite purchase was a sheet of owl acrylic stamps & a dog set also. I love anything w/dogs & I needed new cutesy sentiments- gott'em both. I'm sure I'll be showing you some new work soon w/my new purchases-lol. Sunday was my mom 's birthday ( Happy Birthday, mom-love you), so we celebrated that w/a BBQ lunch & a Reese's Peanut butter ice cream cake-Y U M M Y!!! After everyone left last night, I settled down w/the layout I've been trying to work on for Ashley for part of her wedding gift--- I GOT IT DONE!!!!!! I'm so excited to have finished it & I really think it turned out just the way I wanted it to. I'll try to take a picture tonight, as I'm very excited to share it w/you. I can't wait to give it to her & her soon to be hubby, Dave.

I really didn't have any time to make cards this weekend & next weekend I'm certian I won't get any made, BUT after the wedding weekend, I'm going to really concentrate on my cards & get a lot done....oh, I hope. I plan on doing 2 craft shows this fall & right now I've got NO cards to sell-lol. I made this card last week for a customer who asked me for a golf themed thank you card...I think my card is "right on"-lol.....

products used: plaid pp: doodlebug Designs. tee sticker: Me & My Big Ideas-soft spoken. stamps: Studio G. corner round punch: Marvy. pearls: Queen & company.

Well better get back to work. I usually have my blog posted first thing, but it was a busy morning & didn't have the time. Now I'm taking a break from work just to post, I'm sure my boss would love that-lol. Have a great Monday!! TFL!!! Lynn

Another day closer... to the weekend (of course)

Yeah, Thursday...one more day!! My mom is coming up Friday w/the 2 Schnauzers : ) We are going to the Stamp Scrap Art Tour on Saturday. I can't wait!!! We went last year for the first time, loved it!!! I bought quite a bit back then & sure I will this time, BUT this time I know what I need for my cards. I've already got the list started : ) My brother & SIL are back from their European trip, so they are coming on Saturday. I'm pretty sure Palmer has missed them, but at least he had Oscar to keep him company-lol. We will be celebrating my mom's birthday on Sunday also : ) So another busy weekend. I do plan on sneaking a card in there at one point too-lol. Anyways....speaking of the "pooch crew"........
... These pics. are from last weekend at my mom's. These 3 are a ball of energy, especially Wilson & Oscar. Plamer likes to referee & every time Oscar is winning, he will bark at Wilson. Sometimes I think the Schnauzers are ganging up on my poor sweet little Wilson-lol!!! I'm laughing even as I typed that. As you an tell by the one picture, my little Wilson can definitely hold his own!!!! Plus, he's not soooo "little" anymore & still growing (5months now).

If you haven't had enough smiles from the "pooch crew" pics. I hope my new card makes you smile too. I find this card to be very cozy. I think it's the pps w/the distressed look & the colors, very warm : )

The Sun is back this morning : )

Oh so nice to start the day w/sunshine. It really helps my mood : ) The last couple days I've been tired & that's not really like me. I feel like Ihave a lot to do before we leave next Thursday & I'm just not as motivated as I should be. I'm working on a layout as a gift for my cousin & that has me totally frustrated. I haven't done a layout in a little over a year : ) I had to put it aside last night, going to take a look at it today, maybe have a new perspective. After that I worked on a card-yeah!!
check out my happy blue frog card-lol! My husband picked out the frog sticker. I gave him my box of stickers & asked him to pick something out..........ta da.blue frog

products used: stamps: Creative Caft. ribbon: American Crafts. yellow & white pp: GCD Studios- Blue Calico. plaid pp: Daisy D's -butterfly plaid. corner round punch: Marvy. gems. have no clue brand of the frog sticker- sorry : (

Tuesday : )

Another day where my brain doesn't want to work. I think it's these gray dreary mornings. I hate the fact that it's now kind of dark when I get up in the morning. At least my awesome husband takes Wilson out in the morning. What a great guy!!! One thing I dread is getting out of my warm bed & into the cold. I know it's only August, so not so bad yet : ) I did get to work on some cards last night. I have some projects that I NEED to get done!! I'm making a set of Thank You cards for my cousin Ashley for her to give the girls in her wedding party. I only need to make 8, but had to get the first one together first. I think it turned out pretty good, so hope to finish them by the weekend. Kind of going to try making them like an assembly line process. Don't worry I'll make sure to show you when they are ALL done : ) I also want to frame a layout for a wedding gift for them- REALLY NEED to work on that. I keep putting it off. I enjoy making cards now more then layouts. Maybe tonight : ) My little Wilson is getting so much better. He really is a good boy, just sometimes he's so full of energy-yikes!!! We've had no accidents in the house for awhile now-YEAH!!! He really is starting to be my scrapping buddy.

Monday-yuk!

Happy Monday- isn't that an oxymoron-lol!! It is gray & rainy here today & a bit chilly too- definitely a yucky day!! I was running late today & when I got to work- my desk is a mess!!!! Needless to say the day hasn't started out all that great, BUT I'm hoping that is going to change, I'm going to try : ) Mom & I had a good weekend w/our garage sale! The weather was perfect Friday & Saturday & we really seemed to have a lot of customers. Believe it or not, we left it partially set up & hope to do it again in September. Well, I'd love the expand on my weekend, but really need to clean up my desk, which means "get to work".

My new card today is already brightening my day. Hope it does yours too. Oh yeah, I forgot my product list today. I'll try to post that later today or tomorrow morning.

Have a great day!! TFL! Lynn

My TIGF (not to rub it in)

Yeah, today is my Friday!!! I tell you, I live for the weekends. Don't forget this weekend is our garage sale, so it will be a busy one. The "pooch crew" will be together again. My mom has been watching Palmer for the last 2 weeks as my brother is on his trip in Europe. They are due home on Sunday, but aren't getting Palmer till next weekend. I couldn't imagine being away from my Wilson for so long, especially for the week when I'm home. My house feels empty w/out my pooch. I know I sound half crazy, don't I??? I'm sure the dog lovers out there understand-lol. I've been watching the weather for the weekend, tomorrow's suppose to be perfect, but they do show some rain on Saturday, keep your fingers crossed NO RAIN & lots of customers. I have to admit, I never got very far cleaning out my scrapping supplies. It's so hard to get rid of things, when I go to, then an idea pops into my head. I did try though, I would say I was willing to give up 50 sheets of paper & a couple stickers too.
Onto my card for the day. I LOVE this sticker!!! Actually I love the whole sheet (by Karen Foster), it's so fun & usable. I've been using my glitter a lot more lately too, must be getting ready for all the Xmas cards soon to come.

products used: sticker: Karen Foster. stripe pp: KI Memories. stamp: MSE. boarder punch: Fiskars. glitter: Studio G. Ink (orange): Studio G (brown): Stampabilities. twine. button. pearls: e. Prima marketing.
Have a great weekend!!!!!! Lynn

My brain is not working yet this morning. I guess my Dr. Pepper hasn't kicked in yet. Plus it's a gray morning out there. I don't think we are going to see much of the sun today : ( My little Wilson has a vet appointment tonight, oh yeah, something to look forward too-lol. This will be his 3rd & probably most expensive, until we have him fixed. I hope that calms him down a bit, he really is very very excitable, but not "bucky" as my father would have said-lol. He is just a ball of energy & I am so afraid he's going to hurt himself. He's constantly running or sliding into walls & doors, actually he has a bump on his head from yesterday. He's so so much better behaved, though we still have LOTS to work on. My new name for him is "my devil child"-lol. I've been a bad mom though, I need to load more pics, soon!!!

I made another cards using the Heartwarming Vintage Collection images. They are so versatile, you can add glitter, dimensional glaze, change the color w/markers, add bling.....oh the possibilities are endless. Another plus w/these is you get so many images per sheet. I like the 2 siders, there must be at least 25-30 images to use.

products used: flowers image: Heartwarming Vintage Collection-garden. scalloped border: Fiskars. ribbon: Basicbasic. off white pp": Collage Press-Camden collection. brown flower pp: Scenic Route-Sonoma. stamp: MSE. button. embroidery thread. red pp: My Mind'e Eye- Dreamy 2. pearls: Queen & Company.

This tends to be the way I picture Sympathy cards...muted in colors, a little more sedate. Though for those that follow my blog, you will remember the pastel colored Sympathy card I made recently. Just to clarify, I'm not in NEED of sympathy cards, just didn't have any in my stash.

Hope everyone has a great Wednesday (hump day)!! Hope the sun comes out where you are, heck , I hope it comes out here too!!! TFL! Lynn

NOT the End of Summer!!!

I saw a sign yesterday on my way to work, for a End of Summer Sale.....Are you kidding me?!! I had to check for the date, it's only August 16/17th! Maybe it's because we don't have any children, so I don't think much about Back to School, meaning I guess the end of summer. Well, anyways, in my "little world", I'm refusing to see it as the "end of summer"! Today is suppose to be another beautiful day here, high in the 80's w/no humidity : ) I was totally in Summer mode after that yesterday...........
Doesn't this say summer??

a try at Vintage : )

Happy Monday.....hope everyone had an enjoyable weekend!! Mine flew by, I was pretty busy though. I went to my Mother's so we could set up for the garage sale we are having next weekend. Boy, do we have A LOT of stuff for the garage sale!!! I pray for no rain next weekend & lots of customers. I don't want to have to help put all that stuff away-yuk!! On Sunday, mom & I went to Rochester to shop. Unfortunately, we didn't get to shop for scrapping supplies : ( My cousin's wedding is in less then 3 weeks & I needed a dress for rehearsal dinner, notice I said needed. Yeah, I found an awesome dress (in my opinion)! It cost a little more then I planned on spending, but isn't that always how it goes.-lol. I really like this dress though & I think I will get more use out of it. The color is called raisin, though I would call in plum-lol. Luckily, I'm in the wedding, so I already have a dress for that, though I need to get to the seamstress. My mom has 2 awesome dresses to chose from for the wedding, she got lucky. They are both so great, I don't know which one I like better. I'll make sure to take lots of pictures. I'm getting excited-lol!!

I did manage to make a couple cards Friday night & one last night. I can't just sit & watch tv-lol.
I love the vintage style, I know it's not really my style though, but fun to try. I got a couple new sheets of the Heartwarming Vintage Collection images- LOVE THEM!! The images are so sweet & fresh & colorful. One of my favorite scrapbooking sites is scrapbook.com, I've made so many
wonderful friends through there. Plus, there are sooo many great artist, that give me so much inspirations. I love the vintage styles I see on there & thought my new images were perfect to try one : )

products used: flower image: Heartwarming Vintage collection-Garden. scalloped border punch: Fiskars. Ribbon: Basicbasic. Ink: Stampabilities. off-white: Collage Press-Camden collection. brown flower pp: scenic route-Sonoma-Sandra drive. red pp & polka dot pp: My Mind's Eye. stamp: MSE. button. embroidery thread. pearls: Queen & company.
I inked the edges of everything on this card. I couldn't find any lace in my stash that looked right, so I used the border punch instead. I'm very happy w/the way this card turned out. I'm already planning my next card w/these great images.
Well better get some work done. Have a great start to the work week!! TFL! Lynn

On a Roll (another one I couldn't resist)

TGIF!!!!!!!!!!!!! Made it through another work week, this one wasn't too bad & seemed to go pretty fast. Now let's hope today follows suit-lol! I'm off to visit mom & Oscar tomorrow & Palmer too. My brother & SIL left last night for a vaca to Europe so Palmer is staying w/mom & Oscar. As I said yesterday, mom & I are doing a garage sale next week, so we are going to set up this weekend & maybe even get some shopping in on Sunday. I need a dress for my cousin Ashley's rehearsal dinner & it's starting to get down to the wire-3weeks!!! I did manage to weed through some more paper last night, I think I'm up to 25 to get rid of, so "on a roll" there-lol.

I've got another bike card for you today, totally DIFFERENT then the last couple bike cards that's for sure-lol. This was a special request from a friend who's going to a casual 2nd wedding where the theme was Harley Davidson Motorcycle.........need I say more.....
I racked my brain on this one & couldn't believe I actually had stickers that would work for my idea ( I love when that happens). My friend also supplied me w/a copy of the wedding invite, so I used a saying on that for the sentiment, can't get much more personal then that!! I hope the recipients of this card are as happy about this card as I am..... So, once again "on a roll" w/my bike cards this week (get it- I know I'm cheesy, my husband tells me all the time)-lol!!

products used: motorcycle stickers: Paper Studio. ribbon: Target. clear gems" Studio 18. corner round punch: Marvy. heart punch: EK Success. orange gems. *sentiment copied from their wedding invitation. ** once again don't know any of the pps- sorry : (

I hope everyone has a great weekend! I'm looking forward to mine. I'm hoping to get some cards made tonight & Sunday. I did get my Cricut out last night & started cutting out tags/shapes to make Xmas tags with. Gotta get started on something Xmasy. I did 2 craft shows last year & would like to do them again this year, but need to work on xmas cards, tags & boxes (those were my best sellers). Once again- have a great one & as always thanks for looking!!! Lynn

Cleaning out

I spent part of my evening last night getting rid of things or at least trying to-lol. My mom & I are having a garage sale in a couple weeks, thought it would be a good way to "clean out" a little & make some money for more scrapping supplies-lol. I also had the Cancer Society call & they were going to be picking up clothes this morning, so I got rid of a couple bags that way also. I'm feeling pretty good about the "clean out"!! Now as I was starting my new card last night, I thought...as I'm looking, I ought to "clean out" some supplies I'll never use. Do you know how hard that is?????? I've decided I'm a scrapbook supply hoarder. I have @10sheets of pp I'll give away & that's only because I have 2more just like it. I love having soooo many choices, whether it be patterned paper, stickers, ribbon, buttons, the list goes on & on. I'm hoping there are others out there w/this problem too-lol!!!! Still feeling good about the "clean out" of the house though-lol!! I guess I'll just have to get more storage for the scrapping stuff.

Told you yesterday on was on a bike kick, well here I go again.....

products used: All pp:K & Company-Greenhouse. bike rub-on: BoBunny-Sunshiny day. Ribbon: Joann's. Ink: Stampabilities. Stamp: Hero Arts. Corner round: Marvy. buttons. gems

Hope this brightens your day- Happy Thursday!!

Happy Day

Yeah, it's Wednesday- half way through the work week! We have great summer weather this week, actually this summer! The hot humid weather doesn't bother me at all. I so think the sunshine helps everyone's mood. Maybe it's because we live in Buffalo, NY (actually West Seneca) & it's coooold & dreary for almost 5+ months each year. We don't see the sun all that much in the winter : ( I love cozying into my house & scrapping on cold winter days & nights, the PERFECT hobby!! Okay, sorry got sidetracked & was talking about winter, so sorry-yuck!!!

Thankfully my mother emailed me some pictures today of our "pooch crew", so I can't wait to share. I am definitely a dog lover- are these not the cutest bunch, they just make me smile : )

You better believe, someone has a treat in their hand, especially for them to be staring at the camera. I have a better picture, w/ my Wilson's ears flapping, funniest darn thing. I tried loading it & it keeps rotating side ways- don't have the time to keep messing w/it. The picture w/the 3- it's little Palmer on the left, my little Wilson (barking- I know you can't tell, but I can-lol) & Oscar sitting in the back. I think Wilson & Oscar are going to be good friends, thank goodness Oscar tolerates my Wilson & his rough housing!!

I've got a thing for bikes & what nots lately. Maybe it's summer : ) As I've said before, a lot of time I don't plan my card, I just let something jump out at me & it's been bikes lately-lol. I was rummaging through my stuff the other day & found this package of awesome Maya Road flowers made w/gigham material- aren't they great??

products used: green stripe pp: S.E.I. pink background pp: TPC Studio. pink polka dot pp: three bugs in a rug. gems: Colorbook. Stamp: Hero Arts. Summer, aaahhh...

Happy Tuesday!! I can see the bright sunshine through my little window at work-lol. It's going to be another beautiful day!! I'm scattered this morning, probably because I'm running a little late. I was trying to get ready this morning & saw all my lotions & sprays & decided to clean them out as I was getting ready- kind of a bad time to do that-lol. I did accomplish it though & was only 10 minutes late for work. I work at a small mortgage broker, we are very laid back & don't punch a time clock, so I'm very fortunate w/that. I used to be one of those people that was always on time, maybe even 5minutes early- NOT anymore, more like always 10 minutes late-lol. I think my little Wilson puts me behind also. I like to take a couple extra minutes in the morning to give him some extra love, knowing he's going to be in his cage all day. Luckily for us, my husband can usually stop home on his lunch to let him out & play for a couple minutes. We hope sometime soon to not have to crate him when we aren't there, but for now, it's for his own safety as well as my sanity. I must say Wilson is doing very very good, really start to catch on-YEAH!!! He is very head strong though & has a hard time listening when outside-EVERYTHING catches his eye & he wants to chase it : ) I'll share some more pictures soon.

Time for my new card, it was AWESOME to get back to my scrap table. I had this card started from before the weekend, so I didn't take me long to get going. As I stated earlier, scattered morning, so I don't have my product list for this card, but will add it later....

I've been trying to work on masculine cards more lately. I know I tend to shy away from them,
I really enjoy using cutesy things- not manly-lol!! I think this card is more boy-ish, but could still be used for an adult male & why not a girl?? We like baseball too!!
Well, time to get working. Have a great day! TFL! Lynn

Super Great Weekend

Oh, I can't believe my looong weekend is over : ( I had good intentions of a quick blog on thursday to wish everyone a great weekend, but "life" just got away from me. Well, I hope everyone had a great weekend anyways. I sure did!!! We went to Pennsylvania to my Uncle & Aunt's lake house. The weather was great, especially yesterday, I even got a sun burn. It was just so nice to "have a change of scenery"!! We had the "pooch crew" there also & they had a blast. My little Wilson still isn't a fan of the water, I keep telling him, he's suppose to be a water dog-lol. Hopefully in time, he will like it. My husband & I even got to do some kayaking, which we hadn't done in a couple years. We use to kayak w/our sweet Damien (our first golden). He loved to ride in the middle. Wilson is still to young to try that & I didn't feel like ending up in the lake-lol. We must say we did A LOT of eating, I can't even stress how much a lot is, but A LOT!! Needless to say I didn't get any cards done this weekend. I wasn't even near my scrapping stuff :( Can't wait to get home from work & get going. I've missed being creative, lets hope the juices are flowing tonight-lol. I made this card last week............

products used: 3D stickers: Me & My Big Idea. ribbon: American Crafts. stamp: Clear Expressions by Hampton Arts. Ink: Ink It Up. pearls: E.Prima Marketing. slanted pp: Paper Studio.
Okay I'm way behind this morning, so everyone have a great Monday. As always, thanks for looking! Lynn

The Dog Days of Summer (sorry couldn't resist)!!!

Oh, it's going to be another HOT sunny day here & once again I'm stuck inside w/ awful air conditioning : ( It is suppose to be close to 90 & humid here today. It really has been a warm summer & I'm deffinetely not complaining : )

I had to share the picture of a our "pooch crew", taken this past weekend. We had them in the garage, while we were all outside. Don't they look like they are in jail? I get such a chuckle out of this. Palmer is the little guy in the middle, he's the referee. Oscar on the right & of course, my Wilson on the left. Hard to believe he was smaller the Palmer when we got him. My little Wilson will be 4 months this weekend.... I think he's going to be a talllll doggie.

I wish I had made another "dog" card to go with my blog today, but wasn't thinking about that last night : ) I was trying to make cards, talk on the phone, pack for our weekend & of course give Wilson "love" along the way. I do LOVE this new card though, & the colors & bicycle make me think summer anyways.

products used: all pp (used both sides of sheet): Making Memories. Bicycle sticker: American Crafts-Dear Lizzy. stamp: Creative Cafe. Ink: Studio G. ribbon: Target. Cricut. border punch: Martha Stewart. paper flowers. Pearls: Kaiser Craft.

I have to say, I"m a big fan of the Dear Lizzy line by American Crafts, probably my all time fav w/them. Such great fun images too.

I hope everyone has a great Wednesday, just think half way to the weekend. Not to rub it in, but tomorrow is my Friday, so I'm over half way- yeah!!! Stay cool!!! TFL! Lynn

A sunny Tuesday!

What a gorgeous morning it is here, already 72 & sunny. It's suppose to be hot & humid today. You would think on a morning like this I would be bright eyed & ready for the day, I'm not...I'm tired!! I guess my caffeine hasn't kicked in yet. I'm not a coffee drinker, but I get my caffeine from DR. PEPPER! I love that stuff, just can't get enough!!! Hope I get my "pick me up" soon, I've got a busy day : )

I think my new card is perfect for my "sunny Tuesday".......................

I love this bird image. I've seen it before on some cards & just ooohed & aahed over it-lol. It reminds me of my grandma, she liked birds. She had this blue bird book by her back door & we always looked up the new birds we saw. I spent a lot of time at my grandma's growing up, I LOVED to go there : ) Great memories! I have to note, I even got out my flowersoft for this card. I don't think I have it out since almost last xmas, it's red & green mix, but it worked nicely here : )

Well hope this puts you in a "sunny" mood for your Tuesday too! Have a great day! TFL Lynn

A short week!!

I hope everyone had a great weekend!!! Ours was filled w/fun & dogs & we had a great time!!! My family (mother, brother, sister-in-law & pooches) were here all weekend. It was a very enjoyable weekend & we had lots to eat. We always tend to over eat-lol. This coming weekend we are all meeting at a lake house...oh I hope hope hope for HOT weather & SUN!!!!! Anyways, half of this weekend we spent talking about what we are going to eat next weekend. Gotta love food-LOL! Mom & I got some shopping in this weekend too. Unfortunately, it was not for scrapping goodies : ( We need dresses for my cousin's upcoming wedding : ) I'm in the wedding, so I only need a dress for the rehearsal dinner, but mom needs a dress for the wedding. She found 2 awesome dresses this weekend, can you believe it, it's so hard to usually find one!! (Mom, I like the blue). You should see the 3 dogs together. Palmer & Oscar got along great. Wilson & Oscar really like to rough house together, so they keep each other occupied. Palmer is the referee : ) I'll, of course, load a picture of them later this week.

Better get my new card loaded & get to work-yuk!! Why do weekends go so fast?? This is a short work week for me though, as we are leaving for the lake Thursday after work- yeah, I can't wait!!

products used: flower stickers: Special Moments. cuttlebug. Provocraft embossing folder. Nestabilities. Stamp: MSE. pearls. Queen & company. Ink: Studio G. * sorry once again, don't know the pps. I am getting better at keeping all my packaging, but still have lots of paper w/out the pad it came in.
I don't tend to make to many sympathy cards, I don't know many people that do. For obvious reasons, but also, I think in my mind Sympathy cards should be muted or lacking color....well I proved myself wrong on this one. I'm very pleased w/the way this turned out & the calming feeling I think it has.
Well off to start the week. The sun is hot, it's already 72 here. It's going to be a good day, hope everyone enjoys it. TFL Lynn
