Gonna be a good day : )

Oh it was soooo nice last night to be able to relax, play w/Wilson, make cards & watch Survivor : ) I'm a huge Survivor fan!! I've watched the show since the very beginning, 12 seasons ago, I think it is. I'm in a Survivor pool this year & I have Tyrone.... he seems to be doing pretty good so far : ) Thank goodness i didn't have Jimmy Johnson!! It was nice to just be able to work on my cards too- I'm working on hard on Halloween cards now. I realized we are a month away from it & when you mail cards out you want them early. I have a couple customers who want Halloween cards- Yeah!! If this weather doesn't put you in a Fall-ish type of mood, maybe my cards will-lol.

YEAH- I PASSED!!!

Okay today is starting to be a good day, though I was starting to wonder when I got stuck in traffic this morning & thought I was going to be late for my test....I wasn't late & I PASSED!!!! If you can't tell, I really wasn't sure what the outcome of this test was going to be. I did study quite a bit last night, but that was about it- YEAH!!!! Well at least I can put this all behind me until after the first of the year when I will need to do 11 hours of continuing education-yuk : ) I can't wait to get out of work & head home play w/little Wilson & then make some cards- doesn't that sound like the perfect night -lol. Our little Wilson is growing so fast. He's still all legs. My poor little guy has some "hot spots". For anyone w/a golden you know what these nasty ugly things look like, for those of you that don't- be thankful : ) My poor little guy, I keep scolding him for itching. We are giving him Benadryl to dry them up & so far I think it's working. Well really really need to get to do some work, that's what they pay me for-lol. Enjoy my new card- it is PERFECT for my day..happy happy happy : )

I apologize, but I didn't bring my notebook today w/my list of products. I can tell you the stripe pp is October Afternoon ( love love love that brand) & the pink gingham is My Mind's Eye. I believe the chipboard medal is Me & My Big Ideas- the rest I don't know....but hope you like it anyways : )
Happy Wednesday- half way to the weekend : ) Lynn

Tuesday

I promised myself I would get a new post on here today & of course I'm running late & have lots to do today-yuk!! Plus it's rainy & gray here, doesn't help : ) Yesterday at worked seemed to go pretty fast so I hope today does too. I'm taking a test for work tomorrow morning at 8am- YUK!! I haven't studied at all, so I'm getting a little nervous about passing : ) I know I deal w/the information everyday at work, BUT it would be like having to take your driver's license test all over again after years of driving. Well anyways, I need to get my work done, so I can do some studying. I did start to look over the info last night in between making cards- I just couldn't help myself-lol. Hope you enjoy my new card................

Where is Friday??

This has seemed like such a loooong week. I think I'm a little off due to the fact Survivor is now on Wednesdays. I've watched Survivor since day 1 & I'm so used to it being on Thursday nights.... I'm liking this season w/the old against the young : ) Maybe to I'm excited for Friday to get here : ) I'm off to Syracuse to visit my best friend & see her beautiful baby boy, Evan. I've had such a crazy summer, I've only seen the little guy once, since he was born (end of May). I'll make sure to get a picture or two to share, he's a cutie for sure!!!!!! Then my girlfriend & I are off the casino for the night- yeah!!!! I like to play the slots, though I don't do very well- thank goodness for penny slots-lol!

I'm still working on Halloween cards, but I'm sharing my Thank you card w/you today. I think it has a fall like look to it anyways. Hope you enjoy : )

Almost a week later, shame on me :)

What a bad bad blogger I am : ) Life just seems to get busy & my computer activities always go on the back burner- sorry people : ) The weather has started to get a bit more fall-like, so I had to put away my fun summer clothes & get out my sweaters. It's like have a whole new wardrobe, without buying anything, BUT have you seen all the awesome new sweaters at the stores- NEED to shop soon for some -lol. I know almost a week ago my last post mentioned my new Halloween cards....YEAH, I have them to show you, finally!!! I even started working on Xmas cards this week, so hopefully by next week I'll be able to show you them-lol.

I've got to comment on the awesome rub-ons from Studio G. I found them at AC Moore & they were only $1!!!!!!! There are so many fun usable things on the sheet & for only $1!!!!! Gray Day- wish I could be lazy : )

What a typical Fall like day it is, very gray & chilly. It was starting to rain as I got to work, always good for the hair to walk in the rain : ) I know use an umbrella, but they are almost more work then they are worth-lol. I don't mind gray days so much, if I can stay at home in my comfy clothes & play w/Wilson & make cards- a my dream day : ) The added extra to that would be my husband snoring on the couch-lol. I now have my card orders filled, so I can work on any type of card I want-yeah!!! I did work on some Halloween cards last night, oh what fun!!! I will say Halloween is not my favorite holiday, I think I was traumatized as a child, thanks mom (remember the smurfs)-lol!! I absolutely LOVE to make Halloween cards though. So fun to put orange & purple & green together, what a crazy color combination when you think about it-lol. I did get 2 cards done last night, but it was too dark to take any pics of them, so I will post them sometime in the near future- need good light to take my pics. I think my card today is a cheery little one, which is perfect for this gray day. Hope you feel the same way : )

products used: butterfly rub-on: Making Memories- Just Chill'in. turq pp & striped pp: Sassafrass- Serendipity. polka dot pp: My Mind's Eye. ribbon: Paper Studio. Ink: Stampabilities. stamp: Creative Cafe. border punch: Fiskars. corner round punch: Marvy. gems

I thought for a little extra smile this morning, I would show you a new pic of little Wilson. He is getting soooo big. Look at his little ear-lol. We sometimes call him "Flip", one ear or both are flipped back, ex...see below-lol. He has long ears, though he seems to be growing into them. We really enjoy our little Wilson, he certianly has spirit & spunk & constantly makes us smile : ) Hope my pic of "Flip" makes you smile too!! Have a great day! TFL Lynn

Another Sunny day!!

Another morning w/the sun out, I love it!! Don't you just feel more energy on sunny mornings?? Once I get to work though, the "energy" is gone, if only I was home making cards-lol!!!! I did get some cards accomplished last night though, yeah!! I had someone ask me to make them 2 grandparents-to-be cards & one of them is having twins!!! My mom & I went to the stamping Expo here in Hamburg, NY a couple weekends ago & I found a double stroller- BINGO there was the beginning of my card. I'm quite pleased w/the way this card turned out, probably because when she asked me to make it I had NO ideas : )
products used: sticker: Jolee's by You. ribbon: Paper Studio. yellow gingham pp: Paper Studio. green polka dot pp: K & Company- Greenhouse. vintage button. polka dot pp: Little Yellow Bicycle- baby safari. border punch: fiskars. pearls: Queen & company.
Since they don't know the sex of the babies, I used all sorts of colors, plus I felt like it would tone down the blue of the stroller.
Hope everyone's week is going good & continues too. Time for work-yuk!! TFL!!! Lynn

Sunny Monday : )

My title almost sounds like an oxymoron, but it is Monday & the sun is out so far today -lol!!! I can't believe how fast my weekend went. Actually last week went pretty fast too, probably because life was just busy : ) I had to catch up on life in general last week as I had kind of put "things to the back burner" till after Ashley's wedding. hmmmm.....Ashley's wedding was a "fairytale", everything was just perfect!! We had such a fun time & it was so nice being pampered. You know when you're in a wedding, you have someone to do your hair & make up. I wish I could bring those people home w/me & they could do that for me everyday....oh to win the lottery-lol. I do have a couple wedding pics to shart today, but just a couple as once again, I wasn't prepared this morning (it's monday).

Look at my gorgeous cousin & her new handsome husband!! These pics were taken at the church - a little out of order: ) They are now in Fiji on a honeymoon, can't believe they are due back this week. Time flies! i will share lots more pics soon. You've got to see the reception w/all the beautiful TALL flower arrangements & even taller cake-lol!! My Aunt did an AMAZING job w/this wedding. IT REALLY WAS THE ULTIMATE FAIRYTALE WEDDING & MY COUSIN THE BEAUTIFUL PRINCESS!! Congrats Ashley & Dave!!!!

I so wanted to post this last week to share, but you know how it goes-lol.

This is the framed layout I made for Ashley & Dave! It's been so long since I did a layout, that this one took me a while to complete. I look at it as a "labor of love"!! I really really love the way this turned out!! I don't usually use flowers, but it's hard not to want to, when you see them every wheres & they are just so gorgeous. I added a bit of glitter to mine to give them that "little extra". I took a couple close ups just so you could see them better. I'm not very good at photographing these layouts, I'm used to taking pics of cards-lol.

I was so excited when I completed this layout, I completely forgot to write down my list of supplies. I do know the flowers are Prima & the transparency is ColorBok. I hope everybody has a great week!! TFL!! Lynn

My work week is juuuust about over!!!

Oh yeah, today is my Friday!!!! I'm so looking forward to our upcoming long weekend!! I've been busy busy busy w/all I need to do to get ready. I did finish the layout for Ashley, it's framed & photographed. I also am just about done w/the 8 thank you cards for her, just have to finish up the inside of a couple-yeah!! And last but not least the 3 Wedding cards are done also, one from us, one from my mom & one from my brother & SIL- lol : ) I did take picture of everything & was really excited to show you the layout. It was a labor of love, that is for sure. I really think it turned out good : ) My computer was NAUGHTY last night, it was very slow, so I never got the chance to upload any of my new stuff. Hopefully by next week, it'll be back running right...can't wait to show you : ) Plus I'll have all sorts of wedding weekend pics to share.

Luckly, I had emailed myself a couple new cards the other day, so I am able to upload a card here at work. I know I should be working & believe me I will be very shortly. You know how it goes, whenever you take time off you pay for it before you go & when you come back-my desk will be a mess!! I'm not going to think about that now-lol!
I made this a couple days ago, hope you enjoy : )
