Happy Sunny Monday!!

Why is the weekend over??  At least, it's a bright sunny morning, that does help the mood : )  We had a very nice weekend, half of it was relaxing....the other half, we had our 3 nieces & 1 nephew -boy do those kids have a lot of energy- we were card making, game playing, wood hiking, smore making...I could go on, but I'm tired just typing it-lol.    On the relaxing half of my weekend I made cards-yeah!!!

This is one of my many "special order" anniversary cards.  The wedding colors were green & yellow, so my friend asked me to go w/that.  I used the cricut for the hearts & numbers, the Martha Stewart butterfly punch & the Marvy corner round.  The flourishes are American Crafts thickers.  Not sure the brand on the green rub-on border or the mini alphabets- but if you need to know- just ask, I'll gladly look it up for you : )  I should have taken a pic of the inside of this card also- my friend gave me an wedding pic, so I framed that on the upper part- super cute  picture : )

A Dr. Seuss kind of day : )

It's a gray rainy morning here, but I'm not complaining, as we really really need the rain & it is still warm out : )    Yeah, made it to Thursday- one more day till the weekend!!   I've been working on a bunch of special order cards, so haven't had much time to play w/my new stuff...soon...this weekend : )     I better get to my new card & get to working- lots to do today-yuk!!!

This is a special order card for a little girl name Kylie who is turning 5 & having a Dr. Seuss b-day party - I think I covered it all-lol!!  Kylie's grandma loooved this card, so much sooo she gave me a bunch of cucumbers from her garden-yum, nothing like home grown veggies!!!   I'm really not sure of any of my products on this card....mom found the Dr. Seuss image online for me.  Twine is We R Memory Keepers. 

I would say I need my Dr. Pepper to wake me up- gray mornings do that to me : )   Have a great day!!  TFL  Lynn

Christmas in July

Can you believe July is almost over- it seems like it just started : )   We've had such a hot dry summer...we no longer have green grass in our yard, it's allllll yellow.  Heck, we even have a tree already dropping it's leaves- what is that about?!!!   Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining, I've totally loved the heat...my husband on the other hand, loves it when he can be at the boat, other then that he wants to hide in the air conditioning-yuk : )  


I got the chance to make some holiday cards recently- what fun...it's like having all new embellies to play with as I hadn't seen this stuff in months & actually a lot of it probably is new from Xmas presents last year : )    I think I made this on one of the hottest days of the year & I was still humming Jingle Bells-lol..

My snowman image is from the scrap-a-day calendar.  The stripe pp is from Target's dollar section.  Red paper is DCWV.  Used my favorite embossing folder from Provo Craft & my favorite border punch from Fiskars.  The stamp is Studio G.

Hello Friends : )

Hello friends!!  Sorry, I've been MIA over the last week...busy busy!!  Actually, last Wednesday was my 40th b-day (yikes)!!  I had a pretty nice day though...when I got to work, it was decorated w/big black balloons "over the hill"... they also got me a black cake, it was yummy : )  Oh, I got some gift cards to Joann's & Michael's.....I would say my co-workers know what I like-lol!!!!!!   Must admit mom visited this weekend & I used up the Michael's gift card, they had a pretty good sale on Sunday w/20% off coupon- I got a new nestie : )   My honey got me a new cell phone, I didn't really want one, but really really needed one- mine was so old, it didn't take pictures- now I'm into the 21st Century!!!  He also got me a new Cricut-yeah!!!!!   Mine old one is only 3years old & it's not working right lately- it won't turn on half the time, very frustrating when I'm in my card making grove.  I've realized I can't make cards w/out it!!!!   My honey also took me out for nice relaxing, yummy dinner.  As I mention mom visited this past weekend- you should see the big bag of awesome scrapping goodies I got- well actually you will when I get to using my new stuff- oh, I feel like a kid at xmas, yes even at 40-lol!!!!!

Though I've been busy w/life- I totally have found time for new cards : )  I actually had a big order to fill by this week & it's done!! 

I don't know about you, but I totally love Echo Park- there collections are so colorful & fun!!  The journaling card is from their This & That line-love the colors!!  I added some ooold K & company 3D butterflies & bling.  The turq pp is My Mind's Eye.  I believe both brown papers are from DCWV.  I also used a Martha Stewart boarder punch that reminds me of a trellis, but I covered that part & just left a little of the bottom sticking out.   As w/most my cards, I inked everything & the stamp is Hero Arts.

Happy Monday!!

Monday, already : (   What a fast weekend.   I spent yesterday w/mom, we had a fun day together- we made a diaper cake & a bunch of big tissue paper pom poms- i still promise a picture, but not till after the baby shower on Sunday : )   

I get to work today & my boss is already here-yuk- not the way I like to start my week.  Hopefully it's a quick work week w/no issues  : )  My birthday is this coming Wednesday, so that is my b-day wish : )   Good, quick work week!!!

I did find time to make some cards this weekend-yeah!!  I have a hard time staying away from my "scrap table" to long-lol.   All the pretty papers & cute embellies are always calling me back-lol.  I used my Martha Stewart border punch on this.  The dark pink pp is Hobby Lobby.  The sticker is Recollection.  Ribbon is American Crafts, polka dot ribbon is Hobby Lobby.

FRIDAY!!

yeah- made it to Friday!!!  Today is suppose to be hot & humid- I'm sure for once I'll be glad to be in the air conditioning : )  Right now, not to happy w/it- it's 65 in here- we have some real "hot heads" around here!!!  I'm tempted to open the front door just to let some heat it-lol.   At least it's Friday!!!!   No major plans for our weekend, I'm sure w/the hot weather we will end up at the boat : )  I'm behind on some card orders, so I KNOW I'll be working on cards too-yeah!!!   Sunday I'm off to see mom- we have a little project to work on......mom is helping w/a baby shower- so we are trying to come up w/some decorations for that.  Last night I tried my hand at making pom poms out of tissue paper- the one I made turned out pretty cute, if I do say so myself- I'll show you next week as I do have a picture, just didn't think to email it myself to load on my blog- next week, I promise.  It really wasn't too hard to make.

Since I'm talking crafty, I should get to my new card & get to working......

Made this card for my Uncle.  Compass, ticket & border stickers are Simple Stories.  Red stripe pp is Glitz. Not sure what the yellow pp is- if you need to know, email me & I'll check for you : )   I inked everything, added button & bling & done.

It's a guy thing-lol

Yup, another picture of my cutie!!!!  OMG- I can't even stand it- I just want to give this little guy hugs & kisses- isn't he CUTE??!!!!!!!!  Both my brother & SIL take great pics, so not sure who get the credit for this one- but love it!!!!! 

 yeah, so glad it's Thursday, only one more day till the weekend!!!  They are calling for some rain this weekend, which is a good thing- we really need it!!!!!  Today & tomorrow are suppose to be HOT though- I know the heat really bothers a lot of people, but I really love it : )


Well better get to my new card & dig into the pile of work on my desk....

My new card was a "special order"- for a guy totally into tools : )  I have to admit this card was quick & easy....the tool peg board & tools came on a card my husband got a couple years ago- I put it w/my scrapping stash to recycle/reuse : )  The dark blue pp is Echo Park, the tan pp is Glitz.  Used the Cricut for my mini tag, stamp is MSE.  Tied my twine & added some bling.

happy scrappy Hutton

I got this pic emailed to me yesterday from my sister-in-law, look how darn CUTE Hutton is- so happy, so happy to have a sticker on his nose, at least I think it's a sticker-lol.  Hmmmm, I better keep the little guy away from my sticker stash-lol!!   I can't believe this little guy is coming up on 9months- he's sooo darn cute!!!  I hope this puts a bbbbiiiiigggg smile on your face : )


Sorry, I've been missing again from my blog.  It seems like we've been busy enjoying our summer!!  We have had some great boating weather- hot & no rain.  Like most places, we really need the rain now- on the drive to PA this past weekend, I can tell you the corn is not "knee high by the 4th of July"!!!   We spent some time w/my Uncle & family this past weekend- nice to see family!!!  My cousin has a little guy too, he turns 1 at the end of this month.  I'll have to load a pic of him soon!!

Well better get to my new card & get to work- my desk is still piled high w/fun : )

Happy 4th of July (yup, a day early)!!

Yeah, it's almost like a Friday -lol!!!  So excited to be off work tomorrow : )  Yesterday was sooo long here at work, just a cruddy day! I have to admit I actually groaned when I unlocked the door this morning : (  My desk is a absolute mess & I'm pretty sure I didnt' leave it that way!!  Heaven help me to get through this day : )   Let's talk about something happier- being off tomorrow- Happy July 4th!!!    We are off to the boat tonight for the holiday!!  It's suppose to be a hot one- yeah!!  I'm so looking forward to watching the fireworks on our boat over Lake Erie.    Well since my work phone is ringing off the hook already- better get to my new card so I can get to work.....

I did find some time to work on cards through out this past weekend- how could I not- I'd go through withdraw : )    I couldn't think of anything more summery then flip flops & red, white & blue : )  background pp is Hobby Lobby.  Red pp is Recollection, blue scalloped square is Little Yellow Bicycle.  All the rest of the paper is from my scrap drawer-yeah!!  Sticker is from an old scrapping kit. Letters are Cosmo Cricket.  We R Memory Keepers baker's twine.
