FRIDAY- need I say more : )

Happy Friday!!  What a beautiful day, bright & sunny, warm w/a bit of a breeze.  The only problem w/this morning is I'm at work-lol!!!   It has been a short work week for me, so I really shouldn't complain, but at my job when you take time off, you pay the price- the work just piles up & a lot of it is time sensitive- fun fun!!  Okay, let's go back to the fact that it's Friday!!!!!!  We don't really have any plans for the weekend, which is ok w/us : )  I'm sure since it's suppose to be hot & sunny, we'll be down at the boat for a bit : )   I will find some time to make new cards though-lol.

Speaking of new cards.................

My little squirell makes me smile : )  He's a cell-phone embellies, that I repurposed-lol.  The white pp is from Hobby Lobby, all other pp is from Recollection.  Used the Marvy corner punch.   Sentiment stamp & flowers are Hero Arts.  Added a wood button & some bling.

Another fast weekend : )

Why is it Monday already??  : )  Had a busy weekend & it just flew by!!!  Friday night I actually worked on some cards-woohoo!!  Saturday I was off to Syracuse, NY to see my best friend.  We went to the casino Saturday night, we ate some awesome food & I unfortunately left some money there : (  I did actually come home w/some of the money I left with, so in my book, that is almost as good as a win -lol.    It was wonderful to hang w/my bff & her little man- you should see this little guy,such a darn cutie!!!!   

Need to get to showing you my new card & get to work!!!  I won't be posting for the next couple days, as we are off to my mom's.  My Uncle passed away this Saturday!  He really had a long haul w/cancer & fought bravely to the end!!  We saw him last weekend & know in my heart he is in a much better place now!  Thank you Uncle Don, you will be missed!!!!!

This is the card I made for Uncle Don's family...Chris, Donnie, John & Maria!   All the paper is My Mind's Eye. The vintage images is Graphic 45.  I used the Tim Holtz distresser again- love it!!!  The stamp is Kaisercraft.

Hot hot summer day- it's officially summer !!

Yeah, as of sometime later today, it will officially be summer here today!!  Woohoo!!  I looooove summer, hot weather, little extra time off from work to relax & enjoy, oh yeah, & my  b-day!!  See lots of good reasons to love summer!!!  Wish it was Friday- where is Friday???   I'm off this weekend to see my best friends, it's been a year since I saw her last, time flies, life just gets too busy.  I'm sooo excited to see her.  We are off to the Turning Stone Casino on Saturday night, yeah, gambling & good eats!!  I have the crappiest luck gambling, I never win, but I'm more then happy to walk of out there w/the money I came in with- I kind of feel like a winner then-lol!!  We always eat at the buffet, yummy, they have clams, prime rib, brussel sprouts (my fav), corn bread...I could go on & on : )

Better get to my new card & get to work.  The piles are getting smaller : )

I've been trying to work on some uni-sex b-day cards- they are almost as hard as masculine cards : )  I never thought myself a girly girl- but I love to use pink, lace, ribbon & cutesy embellies-lol!  The big polka dot pp & the chipboards are Colorbok.  The chevron pp is My Mind's Eye.  Used a Marvy punch for the little stars. Added some bling & doodles.

Hot Tuesday

It's suppose to be near 90 today- ooh, love the heat!!  Easy for me to say when I worked in an over-air conditioned office.  Even today I'll have long sleeves on at work : )   tomorrow's suppose to be even hotter & muggy- summer is here, officially tomorrow, that is.  I'd like to say work went quickly yesterday, but it was one of those "clock watching" days- hope today is a little quicker.

This card is actually a couple months old : )  I made it for my wonderful friend in Australia.  I know she has it by now, so I'm going to share w/you today.  The turq pp is Sassafras Lass.  Butterfly sticker is Sticko.  White puffy sticker is American Crafts.  Used my fav Fiskar border punch.  Stamp is Fiskars also.

Monday- why?? : )

How can it be Monday already?  It's just crazy how fast the weekends go- 2 days is just not enough : )   Last week was crazy busy at work & I just know this week is going to be the same.  Our weekend seemed to cruise right by too.   We had mostly wonderful weather over the weekend...it did rain yesterday late morning (weatherman wrong again)- while we were are the boat. Luckily the rain didn't last long & then it got hot & muggy : )   I did manage to fit some cards into the weekend too : )  I've actually got a bunch of special orders to do.   On that note, might as well get to my new card............

This is a "special order" card- can you believe 35 years together-wow.  The even more amazing part is I have a "special order" card for a 60th anniversary card too : )  The gem symbol for 35 year anniversary is emerald, which is why I did this card in green.  The stripe pp is Hobby Lobby (they have this paper is red & blue also- have them all-lol).  The polka dot pp for the heart is Echo Park.  Used the Cricut for the heart & numbers.  The "together" stamp is Hobby Lobby.  Used my fav Fiskars punch, inked all the edges, added some bling & done : )

Friday!!

oh yeah, Friday & this was even a short work week for me- but believe me, I paid the price for Monday off : )   Oh well, just need to get through today!!!!   We are suppose to have absolutely perfect summer weather for the next 5 day or so-WOOHOO!  Perfect weather to me, is hot- we're heading to 90 next week - can you see my big smile : )   We've got some running around to do this weekend, but do plan on spending sometime at the boat (still smiling).  Tomorrow morning I'm off to Rochester, NY (hour away) to meet up w/my mom, brother, SIL & Hutton.   We are actually going to see my Uncle, who is in the hospital there.  He has cancer & has had a really rough time w/it.  Every time he's gone for surgery or some other procedure, he comes out of it w/more bad news then when he went it.   Please keep him & family in your prayers!!    I'm looking forward to seeing how much Hutton has grown in the 3weeks since I've seen him!  

Well better get to my new card, as work is waiting for me (yuk)...

Quickie

Super quick post today....I'm soooo busy at work, I'm not sure which direction I'm going!!!   At least after work, at my card table Im having pretty good luck...I was missing my mojo for a couple weeks & it was so depressing.  I'd look at all these pretty pattern papers I have & then oodles & oodles of stickers & embellies & nothing would "pop" into my head--arrgh, so frustrating.  Anyways, I think my mojos been back for a bit now : )

Half way to another weekend : )

Sorry I've been missing this week- my honey & I both took Monday off.  It was a beautiful sunny, hot day here, so we spent it on the boat : )  Nice to be only 15minutes from home, but yet still feel like you are on vacation.  I do get a little antsy after sitting around for hours at a time- not used to that.  At home when I'm doing nothing, that means I'm making cards : )   My mom visited this past weekend also.  We saw Memphis at our local theater, it was really really good.  I would recommend it.  It was a rainy day here on Saturday, so it was perfect for mom & I to shop & eat.  We hit Michael's & Hobby Lobby : )



I was still working on Father's day cards..now I'm officially done-yeah, masculine cards are sooo hard to make.  All of my pattern paper is Recollections.  Tool stickers are old Jolee's stickers.  The alpha stickers are Sticko.  Used my Marvy corner round punch along w/my Fiskars circle punch & my Cricut.

yeah- FRIDAY!!!!  Mom will be here this weekend, so that means our show, shopping & good eating!!!     It's suppose to be great weather too- yeah!!!    Hate to be soooo short w/my blog post today, but my desk is piled high w/crap : )  I've been working all week to get rid of this pile, yet it seems to be growing.

Sunny Thursday

Yeah, it's a bright sunny morning & the high for the day is 70+....woohoo!!!  Now I just need to get through work so I can get out of here & enjoy some of it!!  Again, the weekend is suppose to be gorgeous : )    I can't believe it's already Jun 7th- where does the time go?!!! 

I think my new card is pretty "summery"- it's the strawberry image, it's by Heartwarming Vintage Images.  The red background pp is Crate Paper, as is the measuring tape pp. The stripe pp is from  Hobby Lobby (this is my new favorite piece of paper & I'm going to buy more-lol).  Lace is from Wilton.  I inked all the edges & then used my Tim Holtz distresser.  Used some buttons from my stash.


I have made sooo many wonderful friends from my card making hobby.  When I started, I was doing layouts...then I found scrapbook.com & started doing cards...  everybody on that site is sooo talented & sooo friendly!!  Anyways, through scrapbook.com I have found some great people & some I know I will be friends with for life-they are true treasures!!!  One of my wonderful friends from there (actually she's from Australia-lol), Vija, she has a beautiful Golden retriever, Kobe & Kobe was diagnosed w/cancer.....please keep Kobe & Vija & family in your prayers!!

Arrrgh,  why is boss here???   Sorry just have to start w/complaining today....my boss told me yesterday he had a seminar today from 8am till 1pm, out of town..........I get here this morning & he's here!!!!!  He's  not going to the seminar..WHY????  I soo thought I'd have most of the morning to myself, would have gotten soooo much accomplished, but no- he's here & know I'll get nothing done!!!  Arrrgh!!

Moving on to something better : )  I'd like to say that would be the weather, but it's gray & chilly here this morning, predicting more rain!!  Actually the weekend is suppose to be hot-woohoo!!! 

I've got a super cutie to show you today....check out Evan, this is my girlfriend's little guy- he just turned 2!!!!!!  Doesn't he look like a little man?!!  Just too darn cute!!!  I'm off to see him & my girlfriend in a couple weeks-woohoo!!

A sunny Tuesday..good way to start the day

It is a bright sunny Tuesday morning, but of course, they predict rain before the end of the day.  We really needed rain, but now we've had 4+ days of it...now we need hot sunny weather, again!!  The weekend is suppose to be hot-woohoo!!!  Mom is visiting this weekend, we are going to see Memphis at our local theater- should be pretty entertaining : )

I'm still trying to work on some Father's Day cards....  my hot air balloons came from my scrap-a-day calendar.  Red gingham pp is DCWV, green pp is K & Company. The stamp is Studio G.  Inked it all, added some bling & done : )

What happened to the weekend?!!

Why do the weekends go sooo fast????  We had a very relaxing weekend- the weather was crappy! I think it rained just about all weekend, except for Saturday afternoon for a bit, but it was definitely not boat weather!!!   I spent a lot of time around the scrapping table this weekend- I had some catching up to do.  My mojo seemed to have disappeared a couple weeks ago, I think I found this weekend- thank goodness : )   I officially finished alllll my wedding tags, they are already in the bride-to-be's hands-yeah!!!    Now I've got some "special order" anniversary cards to get to, a 35yr & 2- 60yrs....can you believe that, not 1 but 2, 60th anniversary cards : )

Hopefully my new card will help to brighten you day- IRL, this is soooo bright & colorful- it always loses a little in my pics : )

The Gerber daisy are rub-ons by K & Company.   Striped pp is oooold, I would guess an old DCWV stack.  the yellow polka dot was free w/some magazine I got-lol.  Used the cuttlebug & nestie.  I used my Fiskars 3" circle punch, oh yeah, & the Cricut for my mini tag.  As always, I inked all the edges.
