Another weekend over & baaackkk to work-yuk!!

Why are weekends only 2 days?? Mom came to visit this weekend, had a car starter put in her new car-yeah!!!! They are sooo handy, especially when you live w/cold weather, it's so nice to get into a warm car to come home from work...enjoy mom : ) We also did some shopping this weekend. Went to Joann's & Michael's. Mom got a Cuttlebug, yeah!!! Michael's had all sorts of clearance items, some of them were pretty good priced. Plus yesterday you got 25% off regular priced items. I've got a bunch of orders for St. Patrick's Day cards & let me tell you how hard it is to find cute St. Pat's things, everything is 4 leaf clovers- I need cute leprechauns & pots of gold-lol. I had a very good week (last week) w/selling my cards. I had made @25 V-day cards & I sold them all. My one customer is just "card crazy" & I love it!!! She bought 17 V-day cards, what do you do w/17??? It's almost time to put the v-day embellies away : (

Where is the sun??

My first thought this morning- where is the sun? Keep in mind I do get up before the sun comes up this time of year-6am-yuk!!! We haven't had a sunny day in at least a week, it starts to get annoying & makes people miserable : ) Though my new card doesn't have a sun in it, i still think it's very cheerful. Just wanted to report, my mom made it to vist w/no problems & YEAH- she got a new vehicle!!!!! Just nice to have the done with, huh mom?? We even found time to do a little scrap shopping ( of course). My mother-in-law gave me a gift certificate to Joann's for Xmas- it's all gone now-lol. They have a pretty good sale going on there through this Saturday- most of their scrapping goodies are 40% off. We also went to AC Moore, but there sales weren't all that good, gotta a couple things, of course-lol.

Monday-yuk- COLD-yuk!!

It is too cold out today....brrrrr...it's -8!! Way to cold to have to be out & about : ) Mom & I were going to try again this past weekend to car shop for her, as her lease is up very soon. Anyways, can you guess....it snowed again this weekend. Every morning when i got up it was snowing really good. Mom's ride to my house is all country & alot of open fields w/blowing snow-yuk!!! I miss her & was really looking forward to our weekend, but didn't want her driving through crappy weather. I stayed home & made cards all weekend, I got soooo many done. Thank goodness too, it's going to be a busy week w/card sales for me-yeah!!! I did get to meet our new customer this past weekend, super nice lady & she plans on coming back for more cards-double yeah!!! Now if I could only get done all the cards I need to for the customers I have now-lol. Well better show you my new card & get to work. Mom is on her way here now, it was a bright sunny morning, hopefully good for her drive. I'm hoping to get out of work early to see her : )

oh, where is Friday???

I know always wishing my life away-lol! My boss has been so crabby this week...I just don't want to be here-yuk!!! Believe me I understand how hard this job can be, when you are dealing w/people's mortgages, its a bit stressful, especially in today's environment.





Okay, enough w/that crabby talk, I'm going to have to deal w/it soon enough. I think we have another customer for our papercrafting-yeah. It's actually the SIL to one of the customers I have now- thanks Cindy : ) Her SIL wants some of these really cute gift card boxes my mom makes. So mom, get working -lol. Plus, I'm getting together w/a bunch of ladies next week to show off my cards- oh yeah!!! I was kind of slowing down on the V-day cards, but think tonight I might be getting some more in-yeah!!





Gotta tell you, I've managed to get 2 Xmas cards done so far this year, keep in mind we are 2 weeks in, so I'm still on schedule. Remember I'm trying for at least 1 Xmas card a week.

Happy Monday- Happy Martin Luther King Day

Oh, I wish I was off from work today. There was a lot less traffic today driving in, which was really like "just rubbing it in". I'm hoping to get out of work early today, but the boss doesn't seem like he's in a very good mood today- great!!! I know my mom & brother & honey are working today also- Hi guys : )

Mom & Oscar were suppose to come visiting this past weekend- we need to car shop. My mom's lease is up at the end of the month (don't worry mom, we'll get it done). Anyways, it snowed!!! Typical for January in Buffalo, but needless to say mom didn't come visiting this weekend, so I stayed home & made cards-lol!!! I actually did a little more then make cards, but it was definitely a relaxing weekend : )

I'm still working on my Valentine card : ) I love the bright colors on this, especially for Monday -lol!

snow snow go away

Another, lovely snowy morning in Buffalo-lol!!! It took me a little longer to get to work, so of course running late & of course, I forgot my product list- again-lol!!



Seems like I've had a lot of request for Sympathy cards lately, they are not one of my favorite types of cards to make, for obvious reasons. Well anyways, I have made quite a few of them lately, I just don't post most of them : ) I thought this would certainly change it up from the "cutesy" v-day cards I've been posting. I have a couple customers that I got from doing a craft show & they keep me busy. It's so nice to have people who really appreciate your cards & all the little extras that go into them. Even though I know a lot of my cards, I will be selling, I still put a lot of "love" into each one. I don't sell my cards to get rich, far far from that, I just sell them as I LOVE to make them & what else am I going to do w/100's of cards -lol. So for all those that wonder what I could possible do w/all my cards, there you go....oh yeah, almost forgot to mention my #1 customer-MOM!!!! I'd like to spread out w/selling my cards, but I just don't have the time to make any more then I already do, so unitl I can figure out a way to quit my job, so I can only work on cards, I'm kind of stuck w/where I'm at....certianly not a bad place to be.

Why is the weekend over??

What a great weekend of doing nothing!! I really shouldn't say that, it's not that I didn't do anything, it's just that I didn't have anything I HAD to do...well, except the Xmas tree down. I did get all the Xmas ornaments wrapped and put away for another year. I"m very very careful w/them, they are like old friends to me. I love seeing them ever year when I put up the tree, most of them bring back great memories. I even have a couple from 1972- they year I was born, though I don't have memories of those, I do of the great people that gave them to me : ) I also spent alot of time this weekend making cards- oohhh hooo!!!! I loved it!!! I'm working on Valentine cards, but also got some others in there also. It's nice not to be hurried to have to make lots of cards. That's kind of the way I get at Xmas time, I'm always behind!! I so love making V-day cards, oh heck, I love making any cards-lol!!!! And I totally enjoyed my weekend full of making them, I hope you enjoy my "love bug", this is of course, one of my new ones : )

Time for Valentine Cards : )

I'm working away on my Valentine Cards now, oh what fun!! Actually I'm working on a lot of different cards, as my stash got very very low over the last couple months. It was due to concentrating on Xmas cards. I was reading somewhere, another blog, I think...someone who makes 1 Xmas card a week....what a great idea!!! I'm going to try it, already got my paper & embellies picked out to make one. This is not a New Year's resolution though, I'm not big on those, probably because I always disappoint myself w/them, so needless to say I don't do them anymore-lol!!!! I'll keep you posted on how many weeks I make it-lol.

I'm sure you figured out my the title to my blog today---- my new card is a Valentine card-YEAH!!! O f course I had to use some more of my new Xmas goodies on this card : ) My honey did very good, he got me he BoBunny sheet, yeah Honey-lol.

My little brother turned 30!!!

As my father would say, YIKES, my little brother just turned 30 on January 1st!! He was the first new year's baby born in our home town, oooohhh so many years ago-lol. I'm glad we are both in our 30's now, even though that won't last long...I'm knocking on 40's door. Actually I still have another year & a half, but we all know how fast time goes!! There is 9 years between my brother & I & though we weren't around each other a lot growing up, we are very close. I'm very thankful for that. We celebrated his b-day over the weekend as we were all together. His wife even made him a donut cake w/candles-lol. Happy Birhday, Jeremy! since he already has his card, I can post it. I thought it turned out pretty good, though I have a hard time w/masculine cards. I'm a little slow today as I managed to get a head cold, so I left my product list at home. Happy 2011!!!

Happy New Year!!!! Can you believe 2010 is over?? I can't say it was one of my better years, so kind of glad it's over. Okay, enough of that, new year, new week, new day : ) I hope everyone had a great Holiday Season. Ours was very enjoyable...spent alot of time w/family & ate A LOT!!!! Even the thought of food today, isn't really doing it. I mean, we ate soooo much food this past weekend. My brother got some YUMMY steaks & lobster- we had our own surf & turf. We are big on appetizers too, so we've had them all weekend!! Mom makes the best cheesecake brownies & these butterscotch bars, so we've been eating them since Xmas too. Maybe I should have put dieting on my list for 2011- NOT- I love to eat!!!!!! I did find time to make a couple cards yesterday after everyone left. I was anxious to get to card making, but sad to watch everyone drive away, meant our Holidays were over & life is back to normal : ( That does mean more time for card making, I hope -lol.
