FRIDAY!!

wow- did Fall arrive overnight!!  It's been quite warm here this past week, especially for the end of September...now today is a chilly, damp, gray day & tomorrow's high is only 48 brrrr.  I'll be wearing turtleneck sweaters before you know it : )   Happy Friday...at least we've made it to it...now just to get through it.  This has been one hell of a work week for me...barely time to take a breath before the next project....I know quite complaining, that's what I get paid for, plus it's Friday!!  We have a pretty relaxing weekend planned.  We are off to see mom tomorrow...mom & I have some projects we need to work on for our upcoming craft show (keep out your supplies, mom) & my husband is going to do some other projects for my mom....he's a great guy like that : )  Mind you, we did promise him breakfast at the local "hole in the wall" ....yummy yummy breakfast : )    




  I did get one card done last night, but of course it was too dark to take a picture.  I made this card a while back, but thought it was perfect for today...bright & happy...it's Friday!!


Don't forget tomorrow is World Card Making Day- woohoo!!!!   Our hobby (obsession) is awesome, we deserve our own day -lol!!!!  Have a great weekend!!!  TFL  Lynn

Thursday- where is Friday?

Once again, not wishing my life away, just the end to this work week!!!  I have barely had time to breath at work & it makes me a bit crabby.  Plus my brain is tired from thinking all day, so my card making has been going a bit slow.  I still make a card everyday though, it cheers me up to be around all my scrapping supplies- bright colors, happy patterns, fun stickers.....get it : )

How's this for a bright, happy fun card?!!  My cupcake is from Creative Imaginations, I think this is from last years line, but you can still get some of it on scrapbook.com.  The stickers are great & really worth the money, there are all sorts of cupcakes, cakes & presents on it.  My awesome plaid paper is from Target's dollar section.  They have some great seasonal scrapping things in their dollar section.  I can't go into Target w/out walking through that part- why not $1 !!!

Suppose to be another beautiful day : )

I swear I watched the weather report 2 days ago & it called for rain all week...don't get me wrong, I'm totally glad today is suppose to be warm & rainfree today.  The last couple days have been awesome, I love the warm fall days.  I did notice this morning that my red maple is dropping it's leaves, has a big pile around it now.  It was a very pretty ride on Sunday to the fall festival, but still alot of green...I'm pretty certain this weekend will be alot more colorful.  Fall really is a gorgeous season around here w/all the hills.

I would say me new card is more summery then fall, but I love ALL of the Crate Paper chipboards & had wanted to use this bicycle image for a while now : )    My husband even helped me w/this card...he scrunched my seam binding for me to give it the crinkle look.  Don't get me wrong, he grumbled at first, but he was sitting on the couch watching tv w/2 free hands, so I put him to work -lol : )

Candy Corn Tree??!!

Happy Tuesday!!  What a mess yesterday turned out to be....our computer systems were all messed up yesterday...spent the day at work, but had no internet & half the time, I didn't have the other programs I need to do my job either.  Needless to say it was a loooooooong day!!!  As you can tell, we are now back up & ready to work (yuk).   Anyways....I hope everyone had a good weekend : )  Ours was pretty relaxing & the weather was just about perfect...remember the "Indian Summer"...we just had it : )  Mom & I went to the Apple-umpkin festival, had a great time looking at all the crafts & eating some yummy foods.  Speaking of food, let's get to my new card.....

 I love playing w/all of my scrapping supplies....I was going through all of my Halloween stuff when the idea for this candy corn tree came to me.  How great would it be if candy grew on trees....ok, money growing on trees would be better : )  I've had this tree for sometime, I know it came w/a seasonal pack of stickers, but have no clue what brand.  My candy corn are Jolee's.  My plaid paper is an old Fiskars, Heidi Grace & I can't remember the candy corn/stripe pp.  My sentiment is a rub-on from American Crafts.

TGIF!!!!

Almost through this work week- woo hoo....it's been a busy one.  I'm looking forward to my weekend.  Mom & I are talking about going to a "Fall" festival, it's called the Apple-umpkin festival- isn't that the coolest name : )  They have a lot of craft vendors & garage sales.  All sorts of yummy foods, so anyways hoping for no rain : )  I'm hoping the rest of the weekend to make a bunch of cards & work on a couple other ideas I have, our 1st craft show of the year is coming up fast.

Back to orange : )

Another rainy, gray morning here....guess I should just get used to it, as this is usually how our fall goes.  Actually yesterday & today have been pretty warm,this morning was 68.  The sun is suppose to try to come out later today : )    We haven't had a frost yet here & the leaves haven't really started to change either, but they are starting to fall off the trees already....almost time to get out the rake : )  My mother bought us a beautiful maroon colored mum, now I need to get a couple pumpkins & my outside will be done : ) 

Well like my title today said...I'm back to Halloween cards, which for most of mine..mean orange : )

My stickers are from Hobby Lobby & the "BOO" is a rub-on from Studio G.  All of my paper on here is from last year.

It's a cupcake kind of day : )

I hope it's going to be a cupcake kind of day, heck I'd be happy just to have a cupcake right about now : )  I'm not much of a breakfast person, but can always & I mean always, snack...love sweet treats & love potato chips....everything goes well w/my Dr. Pepper!! 

Since I'm stuck at work & have no way of getting myself a yummy cupcake to munch on.....I guess I'll just have to drool over the one on my new card, it's be American Crafts.  My background paper is Basic Grey & the polka dot pp is from an old piece of My Mind's Eye.

Very Fall like day...

Another chilly, gray morning...what happened to our "Indian summer"?!!  Last year was awesome, the weather stayed warm until into October, I guess it spoiled me, as I really was hoping for warm weather into October again.  Oh well, I guess Mother Nature has other ideas : )  I hope everyone had a great weekend, sorry I missed yesterday....everyone needs a day off once in awhile...wish i could say it was from my job yesterday, what a crazy day!!  I'm hoping today will be a little calmer, but by the looks of my desk that isn't going to happen right away : )    At least it's already Tuesday : )

I've been a little slow w/the cards the last couple days.  Over the weekend, I did some re-arranging of scrapping supplies...made a mess to start w/but well worth it now that it's done : )  I also got out my "fall" decorations & my fall/winter clothes.  My home looks so pretty & warm w/all the orange/rust colored decorations out : )   My new card was  quicky & there wasn't much artistic thought put into it, but I love this pp & have wanted to use it for some time...it's an old Crate Paper piece.  My journal tag is from Basic Grey.

TGIF!!!!   Another chillly morning, 45 degrees...brrr!!!  I'm running late this morning w/my post & of course the computer is being naughty & work is already yucky, but....it's Friday!!!

Seems like I've been working on quite a few baby boy cards lately...must have my mind on my upcoming nephew...the count down is on....due date Oct 7th....so really anyday now could happen : )  So, needless to say, need some baby girl cards too, my cousin (on Ty's side) is having a baby girl anyday now too.    I had a hard time w/this card...it was in my head one way & just wouldn't work...  well, what you see is what you get...I think it turned out ok, can't think they all are the best-lol.

Brrrr

Holy chilly morning...temp is 51 degrees, it's very gray out, rained overnight, so everything is all wet...including my driveway.   At least the rain is suppose to be over w/for the day here & it's suppose to get windy, so that will dry up the driveway quickly (I hope).  I'm looking forward to going home & seeing that black driveway, it'll look almost new : )    Sad part is the leaves are starting to fall, so they'll cover my new-looking driveway soon & then after that, s**w, see I didn't really say it LOL!!

Yeah, we've made it to Thursday!!  Just have to get through 2 more work days : )

Boo

Happy Wednesday...half way to the weekend -woohoo!!!  Yesterday was such a loooong work day, I just couldn't get ahead & wasn't in the mood for people's laziness-yuk!!!    Let's hope today goes a little quicker & that people have their head on straight & can figure out their job on their own-gee imagine that!!!  Sorry...just had to get that off my chest & I though better here & then at the person  (for now)-lol!!   This morning is a bit chilly & boy is it a lot darker when I get up now-yuk!!  Tomorrow is suppose to be even more chilly then today, but the weekend is looking pretty good : )  We are suppose to have our driveway sealed tomorrow, but of course, it is suppose to rain too....isn't that always how it goes.  We haven't had our driveway paved in 3+ years so it really needs it.    Gotta love the up keep of your own home, there's always something to do : )

I am just having soooo much fun w/making my Halloween cards : )    This one was pretty quick...my die cut is from Doodlebug, my little ghost sticker if from Hobby Lobby..I pop dotted him, added sentiment & bling & of course all the layers & done : )  I wish it was as quick & easy as I made it sound....usually cards take me @2hrs, which is the process of picking out what sticker or focal point I want, then matching w/paper & then the whole creative process of putting it together.  Some cards I have a basic idea to start & others just kind of come together as I'm playing : )  I'd love to hear how long cards take you & your process, feel free to leave me a comment : )

Something a little different

Quicky post this morning as a bomb went off on my desk after I left yesterday...no one likes to walk into work & see all the problems pilled up on their desk-yuk!@!  I figure I might as well dive right in & try to get through some of this before everyone gets here & starts bugging me ; )  Typical day at the nut house -lol!!!


I think my new card is a bit different style for me, don't get me wrong ALL the layers are still there-lol!  I think it has a some what shabby chic feel to it : )  My beautiful flower is cut from a paper by Websters.  I soooo love their stuff, but don't buy or use it that often.

Monday : (

Oh were did the weekend go....how can 2 days go so fast??  I just heard this little tidbit on the radio on my way to work..... " Monday is the day when most people are the unhappiest"...hmmm, can't imagine why-lol.   "People will spend 38 minutes of their Monday complaining about the fact that it's Monday"....ok, I've used up 3 of my minutes, so far-lol.  I hope everyone had a great weekend!!  Mine was once again pretty relaxing, though I did try to get into stuff for our upcoming craft show : )  It's soo hard to work on Xmas stuff when it's 75+ outside, not that I'm complaining about the 75+....I hope that keeps up for awhile : )     I did spend some time working on cards this weekend also, how could I not-lol : )   

Today I've got some cute cute little gift boxes to show you : )   These are a joint effort between mom & myself : )  She makes ALL the boxes & on this bunch I decorated them.  A lot of times we decorate them together, it's a good "us" project : )
 We have 3 different size boxes.  Most are the smaller rectangle which hold gift cards perfectly or are always good for jewelry : )

Yeah, Friday...I know I sound like a broken record, but Friday's are my favorite work day -lol!!  Once again another weekend w/out any major plans, which means I'll be spending a lot of it making cards : )  Plus I need to get my head on straight & figure out my other projects, our first craft show is less then 2 months away-yikes!!  So, needless to say, I'm looooking forward to my weekend : )   I hope you all are too!!

I'm trying to work on male or uni-sex b-day cards also.  So this is one of my uni-sex cards...I have a harder time w/the masculine cards, but I'll get more done : )

Christmas in September : )

Ok, I hope my title didn't scare anyone away...believe me I'm not ready for coooold winter like weather either : )  I managed to make a couple Xmas cards this past weekend & just wanted to share w/you : )  It is a little hard to get into Xmas cards this time of year, but w/the way the weather's been the last 2 days...i shouldn't have any problems if I keep at it.  Today is another gray, wet day...the temp has gone up a little, so it doesn't feel as damp.

My cute little chipboard santa is a Walmart sticker....I've mentioned before about the awesome stash of stickers mom got me from Walmart last year on clearance....now that I've gone through them again, let me tell you they are ALL more awesome than I remember & I will be checking out Walmart again....mom, you too ; )  The green paper is new K & Company mini paper tablet...it was actually a b-day gift to mom, but she always shares : )

Wet Gray Wednesday

oh boy, does today make me think Fall....holy cow, it's chilly (58degrees) & gray & rainy....suppose to be like this for the next 2 days- double yuk!!!   Don't worry I haven't gotten out the turtleneck sweaters yet-lol : )  This morning would have been the perfect day to stay in bed a bit longer & snuggle...I know Wilson was all for that plan too-lol.   If you can't tell....I'm already at work & ready for my fun day, so obviously that plan didn't work for me : (  I know I shouldn't be complaining, we did just have a loong weekend & it is already Wednesday!!

 My new card totally brightens my day, I hope it does yours too : )  I sooo love pink & green together, so fresh & girly!!!   My cupcake was a freebie from a UK magazine I bought, love when they give you free stuff & what's not to love about this pretty little cupcake : )  I thought I was done w/this card & kept starring at it, just felt like it was missing something, so I added the felt heart...now it's done : )

Scaredy Cat : )

oh yeah, already Tuesday!! What a nice, relaxing loong weekend we had!!  The weather was great till yesterday...Mother Nature took that last day of summer thing kind of seriously....it's felt like fall since yesterday...this morning is chiiiilllly & gray,just like a typical fall day-yuk!!  I do know the weather is suppose to go back towards to 70+ by the end of the week, yeah!!   Friday, Saturday & Sunday were hot & very humid here, my honey got to use his air conditioner again : )   Good thing, as I think it will need to be put away soon & my electric heater needs to come out : )   I have an electric heater for the bathroom, hate being cold in the morning, especially after a nice hot shower : )  I spent a lot of time making cards this weekend, it was awesome!!!   I got some Halloween cards done & even manage to get a couple Xmas cards done-woohoo!!  It's such fun going through all the different Holiday embellies, I swear I spent half my time oohhing & aahhing over the goodies I had forgotten I had : )

Check out this crazy cat-lol!!  I got these last weekend shopping w/mom ...they were in the Dollar bin at JoAnn's.  My paper is all last years, the purple check is Graphics 45 & the multi polka dot is Hobby Lobby.  I hope my new card has made you smile, it does me everytime I look at that silly cat!!  Have a great day, remember it's not Monday : )  TFL  Lynn

TGIF!!!!!   Looong weekend, here we come!!!!  I must admit we don't have any major plans for the weekend & I'm totally excited about that.  I'm going to spend some major time at my scrap table-woohoo!!  I've barely used anything new from my past weekends shopping excursions : )  Today is a gorgeous day...the sun is out & it's already 70.  It's suppose to be a hot & humid one, I love these days, especially knowing that chilly fall weather is around the corner.  The weekend is suppose to be pretty warm & then Monday's high is 65- what is that, Mother Nature, it's Labor Day...last day of summer (hot hot  hot).    After all that, I feel bad that my new card is a Halloween card...I should have had something a little more appropriate for summer-lol.  I've just been so excited to be playing w/my Halloween stuff that I just can't help myself-lol. 

I'm totally in love w/this little card...it makes me smile : )  Something about that cute little bat....in most cases I'm staying as far away from bats as I can get ; )  Both the bat & flourish are from Michael's Recollection.  My sentiment is a rub-on from Studio G...got them at AC Moore last year, lov'em, looked this year they don't have any.

Bear-able Thursday : )

I could have slept all morning...it was gray & rainy when I got up, at least it's pretty warm out & suppose to get near 80 today.  I sooo want more 80+ days & by the sound of the weather report, next week we'll be lucky to get to 70-yuk!    The weekend is suppose to be pretty good, so I won't complain, plus it's a loong one : )   I did get a couple cards made last night & one of them was a Halloween one, unfortunately it was after dark, so no picture yet : )    

My new card today, was a quicky....I matted a bunch of paper (as usual) added the sticker & sentiment..ta da : )  My plaid paper is from We Are Memory Keepers.  My chipboard bear came from some $ Store, I'm always on the look out for cutesy things to use on cards : )
